Now that Im in my house by myself, Ive been gathering a collection of tools for my very own toolbox. Ive been buying a few small power tools, as well. They definitely all come in handy around the house for little jobs that I can do myself. Its impressive how much you can learn about fixing things around your house yourself just by watching YouTube videos. The one thing Ive been looking for for a while is a good measuring tape. Now I have one, and its pink! Its not quite as long as I would have liked it to be, but its long enough for pretty much the majority of things that I think I will need it for. It works very well, has a nice weight to it, the tape slides in and out very easily and smoothly, it locks automatically when you pull it out, and slides back in quickly, but without snapping or bending when you push the lever. I love my new pink Measuring tape and would definitely recommend it!

This was the only one I could find on amazon that is metric and imperial. Its a bit pricey but its solid. Good solid lock, release and spring. Does just what I need and I dont have to multiply by 25.4 all the time, anymore.

I am a fan of Amazon Basics 16-Feet Tape Measure, Pink for several reasons. One, this one isnt going to get mixed up with Jims, its mine, all mine. I like the pink color, its fun. The tape is the usual yellow found in these kind of tapes

It’s pink, to differentiate from those my husband owns. It’s rugged & looks like it could outlast some falls. Its numbers are legible. It locks in place, that’s great. It has a tight belt or waistband feature. It has good rubber grip/hold spots. I really like the wrist ‘rope’ feature. The value for the item is good.

This is fine for measuring short distances. Not so great trying to measure by yourself. It bends at about 3 feet out. Working with 2 people you’ll do fine. I’m used to a thicker steel that doesn’t bend so easily.

Its a nice smaller tape measure but still longer than most of this side. Locks good & durable.
