Greater than one weekEncoding times for DVDfab at my preferred settings (average 4GHz) nearly twice as fast as my R7 1700 overclocked to 3750 MHz!

> 3 dayA really good cpu for Video Editors.Prefect for PS and rendering. Running multiple simulators smoothly. Gaming is also good. Becareful that the original cpu fans may be too weak for hot weather. (Take a look at 3900x vs 9920x!)

Greater than one weekI am using this CPU in a work-from-home business computer. I have been up and running for 11 days now with zero instability and incredible power from all the cores. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayThis is my latest review. The boot loop was not due to this motherboard. It was due to AMD 3900X CPU that went faulty. I checked my Antec 750W Power supply, Corsair LPX 16 x 4 = 64 GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB NVMe Sabrent storage & GeForce GPU on my spare Intel Core i7 based MSI motherboard. They worked just fine. Remaining was just this motherboard and AMD CPU. So I got my friends AMD Ryzen 9 CPU on this motherboard. It worked just fine. I google searched for AMD RMA form, filled it and emailed them with all the above actions I took to validate that my CPU may be faulty. AMD responded over email in a weeks time, then I parceled it to them on given address. I parceled the entire CPU box with Wraith cooler and packaged it properly with bubble paper and Tape. I received my new 3900X CPU in another week. It took 3 weeks but now its working fine. Moral of the story is that Boot Loop Cursor on screen is due to faulty CPU.

17-04-2025After buying this I realize I would have been fine with a Ryzen 7 3700X or 3800X. Great CPU but not worth the extra money in my case. My advice is that if you dont have the extra cash to burn do a bit more reading on this. The single-thread performance of this CPU is slightly inferior to the 3700X and the extra cores are only worth it if you have a real need for it.

> 3 dayWhat can I say? If you are aware of AMDs CPU performance as of late, you already know they are amazing. My last CPU was the 1700X(which I still have) but in my new build I got the 3900X with a Noctua Chromax CPU cooler, and a faster NVMe drive(WD SN750 BLACK), and it is simply amazing so far! My case has plenty of airflow because I got the CoolerMaster MasterBox MB511 with the mesh front, so the whole front panel is intake and then is has more ventilation on top and back. Im quite pleased! This CPU has about 30% faster performance per core than the 1700X and almost twice the performance if using all the cores compared to the 1700X. I also have dual channel CAS16 3600MHz ram. Go team red!
