AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

AMD did a good job this time. 3900x is a beast. The only thing is that the temperature runs pretty high when it fully loaded. You need a tower case with upper vents. The built in heat sink is okay it will keeps you temperature below 82C if you have a good air flow case. A case like mine which has no upper vent , the CPU may reach up to 93C degree. You probably need a liquid cooler or a premium heat sink.

great performance for both gaming and multitasking, but be ready to buy a water coooler because this CPU runs HOT. even at idle using a Fractal S36 tri fan AIO, my idle temp is around 47c, and at full load using Prime 95, Im seeing temps of 73c. Without the water cooler you will overheat in under a minute when under full load.

I had this cpu in my machine for 3 weeks, it was working perfectly fine. Then one day it booted to the windows screen the pc shutdown and would never post again.

I like everything about the chip, way overkill for gaming but if your looking to game and do productivity work that takes advantage of a lot of cores then this is the beast for you

1900 mHz on the infinity fabric and 3800cl16 ram. Mmmmm its juicy.

Coupled with the RTX3070 this processor is an absolute beast! My daily workloads are absolutely nothing for this processor. All tasks run seamlessly, and multithreaded workloads are nothing but a piece of cake for this processor. Not exaggerating at this point but moving over from a 2017 MacBook pro has opened my eyes to the additional performance which wasnt really available for me over the past 3 years. The Ryzen Lineup is definitely growing up, and Im super excited to work with this build moving forward.
