Americolor 4.5 Oz Chocolate Brown Soft Gel Paste

I like this Food color have used it before. But I gave it four stars for the price. I was able to purchase at half of the price at two other stores. I always purchase Amazon first because they are usually cheaper. No one is perfect.

I bought the brown dye to mix with the candles I make from home. Unfortunately, this soft gel dye does not mix well with wax and instead, sank to the bottom of the hot wax mixture and sat there like a turd. Didnt mix at all. I had to throw in my older liquid dyes to cover any brown flakes. So because of this brown dye not doing its job properly, I have wasted a bunch of materials setting up that batch of candles. Buying this product made me lose even more money out of pocket.

Nice brown! Keep in mind most deep colors you need to add a little and let the icing rest for at least 30 mins. The color will deepen on its own. If you need to add more do so after letting it rest. This goes for blacks especially.

As always, Americolor doesnt disappoint. Best gel food colors on the market!

Once I puncture the seal I have no way of ever closing this up or safely storing it with no cap. That is how the product arrived, no cap. Frustrating.

Always works perfectly in my icings.
