Aqueon Replacement Filter Cartridges Medium - 6 pack

I have the Mini-Bow 1 tank with light and filter for my daughters Beta fish. I purchased this to avoid having to do water changes every week or more. These filters work well -- they pull alot of the junk out of the water and reduce the tank cleaning/water changing burden to about 1x month depending on how much food gets thrown in. The 6 pack on Amazon is way more economical than big box pet stores. I pulled back 1 star because when these filters get loaded up towards the end of their life, they will back up and overflow water out of the filter unit and outside the tank until the water level in the tank drops a bit -- that made quite a mess the first time we encountered it. Only a small design flaw -- otherwise these are great.

The filter removes particles from the tank. I change it at each water refill a couple of times a month. Theres only one Betta in the 2.5 gallon tank so the water only needs changing every two or three weeks. I dont know why they dont cant double the amount of activated charcoal in the filter theres very little in each filter.
