I recently upgraded to the ASUS RT-AX86U Pro router from my previous ASUS RT-AC68U, and I couldnt be happier with the decision. With a total of 64 Wi-Fi devices in my home, stability and reliability were my primary concerns, and this router has exceeded my expectations on both fronts. Upgraded from AC68U. Very happy!

Bought for my fiber connection, was easy to setup and use until it abruptly stopped working for no detectable reason.

POS router... works fine for a few months. then your wifi will drop several times a day. LAN works fine when wifi drops. tried several firmware, factory resets, etc. youve been warned!

reason i upgraded my router was for the range. my google mini in the bathroom would loose connection and I like hearing music in the bathroom while grooming and in the shower. what I didnt expect was how much faster this router was. old router was 3-4 years old, think i paid $80. before i was at 64mbs and now im at 450mbs!!! I thought by internet provider was the problem. what a great surprise! very happy.

Rock solid connections from all my devices (10+) no matter where I am in the house. (2 story, 2300 sq ft. Router on the first floor) I also love the ASUS Router app on my iPhone. I used to wonder what all the devices were on my network, but with the app I can name them all so I can then see any new unknown devices more quickly. (I’m kinda paranoid about my network). Love this router and I highly recommend it.

I originally gave this a 5 star review but have revised it completely. It worked wonderfully for a few weeks and then gave me nothing but problems. Tech support couldn’t figure it out so I returned it and bought an eero which I highly recommend.

I have a 2200 square foot house & this works great. I have always used ASUS routers.

We have two boys that play video games online with friends. One on a PS5 and another on a PS4. While they play my wife and I also stream 4K TV as we do not have cable or satellite. Just internet TV. We have great connection on all our devices. No lag. No devices get booted. It is a great improvement from our previous outdated router.
