> 3 dayThe bass boost circuit can cause distortion/noise to the bass signal if you turn the knob clockwise. I needed a subsonic filter @ 33Hz and the unit work well as a subsonic filter only. If you need more bass, buy bigger and better speakers (size does matters! :-)) and maybe a high quality EQ instead.

> 3 dayThis thing is situational at best. If you mostly listen to older music (i.e. mid 90s and prior) then this might be worthwhile. Even then though I didnt like how it handled the BASS insertion into the music. If you hit something like AC DC with heavy bass guitars all this would do is add in an undertone of BLUHHHHHB BLUHHHB. Maybe some people like that, not me. If it was something with a steady but inadequate thump then this would indeed add in some healthy low end. I bought it for an add in subwoofer with an LC2i (that disappointed me also, the epicenter tamed the lc2i a bit), but also tried it in a fully fleshed out audio system with the same results. In the end I removed it completely as its just extra electronics and dial I dont really need cluttering things up. Im happier with a straight mid range LOC in there now.

> 3 dayThis really brings out the bass and the wired remote allows you to adjust the thump on the fly!
