Not worth it missing the threads to screw in tube holder. I cut the tube before I notes it was missing the threads.

I have read and seen the horror stories of the plastic extruders breaking and destroying a print. So, when I got my ender 3, the first purchase after filament was this aluminum extruder kit. I put in place of the stock unit and printed a direct extruder setup from thingiverse. now I have a direct drive printer that stays perfectly level, thanks to stronger springs and can print flexibles with ease. I bought a $2 all alum extruder from WISH and it works, is better than the plastic on my Voxelab Aquila, but, man does it feel like junk! I will be buying this again, and soon.

Overall good quality parts. Only issue was one of the threads stripped really easily and can no longer be removed. Now Ill have to replace the entire module if I need to change anything.

This is a bundled package of all the recommended upgrades for your Ender 3 v2 printer. I would suggest making the upgrades as you are setting up your printer. All upgrades were easily executed using only the tools that come with your printer. I did have a missing part and notified First Layer. They responded quickly and shipped out the item, plus additional items. I would strongly recommended this upgrade for its quality, convenience and customer service from First Layer.

So I recently tested this package and I have to say I am very impressed. The extruder is solid and works perfectly. You need to make sure you calibrate your e-steps after installing the extruder. I did several rounds until I fine tuned it. The beds springs are great as well. They are built for the Ender CR-10 so if you have and Ender 3, which is what I have you have to move up your z-axis e-stop just a little to make them work. I also have their all metal hot end and with this package everything is working beautiful.

I was worried about installing this due to hearing a lot of people having issues on the forums about the bltouch but honestly I thought the instructions were straight forward and the only one troubleshooting problem I had was dealt with swiftly and expertly by this company’s customer support. Capricorn is a must have for any printer owner and these springs are much better than the ones that came with my ender 3 pro. Worth the money.

I install this on June 3 first print came out perfect. Every other print since then total about 45 Prints I’ve came out messed up filament stops feeding halfway through then starts back up then stops again. I have changed out the gear I have changed out the bearing I have added tension I’ve taken away tension I have replaced it with different springs will not work put the old one the original back on printer runs perfectly fine.

These upgraded springs are keeping my bed much more level and are a massive upgrade over the stock springs. I dont have to level my bed after every print now. The blue clips included are great and the fittings have teeth inside which grip the PTFE much better. The extruder is working well too and is much easier to feed filament into as opposed to my old plastic one. Capricorn is the best PTFE there is and anyone with a bowden style printer should buy it.

My plastic extruder broke after 100 hours. I can tell this aluminium extruder will certainly stand up much longer having used it for 50 hours of prints already. Its always nice to change up the Capricorn tubing you are using from time to time just to keep things running smoothly as well. The springs and fittings worked as well. I am satisfied with the results so far.
