Awesome game, you can play it 100s of times and its different each time! Amazing game, and its TOTALLY WORTH the money you pay for it!

Love this game. There are 50 different scenarios (plus more you can find online, and an expansion coming out later this tear), so it never gets old. My only criticism is that some of the Haunt rules have some ambiguities, but if youre a group that is used to play a lot of games, you can easily come to a decision on how to interpret it and move on. I highly recommend this game.

Ive played this game for YEARS and it has yet to get old. Yes, it can be complicated at first and maybe a bit overwhelming, but it is very easy once you get the gist of it. Every round is different--the game comes with 50 different storylines that are initiated randomly during each round by triggering the Haunt. You can also get expansions that add even more stories. Something really cool about this game is that you build the board as you go! There are room tiles which are drawn during each persons turn. My only complaint is that the items and events get repeated a lot from game to game. There just dont seem to be enough cards. That can get kind of old, but thats really the only repetitive part about it. The rest is a big surprise! I 100% would recommend this game to anyone who wants to bring excitement to their weekly gamenights. You wont be disappointed! P.S. download the app to keep track of character stats. Its a lot easier than the cards the game comes with.

A very cool, intricate game. I think its a great game for those who love more complex board games. I play it with my friends in their 20s. Not as good for people who get lost or overwhelmed with too many rules. Other than its intricacies and the re-playability (the board layout, characters, and haunt scenario are different for every game), my favorite thing about this game is the atmosphere. Ive never played a game that creates an atmosphere before, where you kind of feel like youre actually in the haunted house too - similar to reading a good book or watching a movie, although less intense of an atmosphere than that. It could be enough to spook some people (especially if you believe in the supernatural), but its not too scary, at least for me ( and I cant even watch horror or most thriller flicks because they freak me out too much). Great game; one of my favorites. Similar in intricacy (although Betrayal is slightly more complex) to Tobago board game ( Tobago: http://www.amazon.com/Rio-Grande-Games-RGG398-Tobago/dp/B002UKIJAG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410130801&sr=8-1&keywords=tobago+board+game) Also the challenge level is usually fairly difficult, but varies- if youre the heros fighting against the betrayer, it can sometimes be a *huge* challenge to win. Occasionally, its easier, depending on what the haunt is. Its also easier if youre the betrayer (your character gets special powers)

This review is not geared toward the game itself, but rather is on its return policy. This is the first item I’ve received on Amazon that isn’t returnable. I realize that it states “refund or replacement available” but did not realize that that excluded returns. I can’t speak to the game quality or anything of the likes, as I have not opened it. This could all be very commonplace knowledge but I just wanted to give a fair warning to anyone like me who may have missed that detail and recommend buying it only if one is absolutely sure he or she absolutely wants it.

My Horror loving 14 year old loves this game. The manuals make it fairly easy to learn.
