Ive tried several different brand but this one sucks out for two reasons. Its more of a jell than a clay which just feels better to use, and two the scent is nice and doesnt bother my sensitive nose.

My go-to hair product. Smells great, holds great, washes out clean.

Ive used this Aveda product for several years now. My wife absolutely loves the way it smells. It has great hold, and is very matte. I love this stuff.

I have tried so many pomades, clays and other similar products my head spins thinking about them. Avedas Grooming Clay is a wonderful product, but not without its shortcomings. First: This clay provides outstanding hold. Not stiff hold, just excellent mallable styling hold. The best part about this control as it does not fade throughout the day and withstands the near 100% humidity of the Gulf Coast. So for excellent control of shorter hair that lasts through the day, this is the product for you. Now for the shortcoming, at least for my use. I have a dirty brown hair, and prefer a slightly wet look with a bit of shine. Avedas Groom Clay leaves a straight matt finish, but with a ridiculous amount of experimentation, I have found a gel that mixes well with the Clay that gives me that bit of shine and wetness I was looking for without destroying the clays good properties.
