Behringer CABLE TESTER CT100 Professional 6-in-1 Cable Tester, Silver

It is a great tester. I think Im looking at year 6 with it now. I build a lot of my own cables and if Im building a 500ft XLR I want to make sure it works before it is being hung in the air. With that being said the one thing I dislike is the power switch. If something brushes against it, it turns on. I read in another review that they use spike tape to cover it which is what I do. Sometimes though Ill be crawling beneath a stage and smack something which will turn it on. Just be weary of that.

Does a great job of checking cords. Was able to eliminate a lot of bad cords from my stash. Tests multiple types of cords also!

Tests continuity in variety of connector types with a fairly straight-forward series of LED lights. One other purpose that serves my use for it is that it sends tone to a connection which is also helpful in trouble shooting. One 9v battery lasts some time (I dont remember the last time I changed it.) The box is a good size but surprisingly heavy. Its a cheaper way to get a test tone than some models of XLR tone plugs.
