Bell Mens Star/Vortex/RS-1 and Revolver Helmet Faceshield, One Size, Dark Smoke

I bought 2 one came perfectly new the other worse then my current one. I included my current one on my helmet and the one that came scratched and dirty it was so bad I thought it was just roughed up from ups but it has VERY obvious wear from someone who had it on their helmet. Both the inside and outside of the lenses were dirty and scratched even had hair behind the protector it was honestly gross. Started the process for return hopefully it get sorted out well will update.

Lens is a perfect balance of tinting without being too dark (still cant be used at night) and the mirror finish looks great. Only downside is the protective film that you peel off the lens leaves a noticeable imprint or residue from the text on the lens that has yet to wear off. This is not noticeable when looking through the lens, but when looking at the mirror side of the lens from outside the helmet.

Looks great! Tint level is good for riding during the day - wouldnt recommend to use at night. In some cross-lighting, the visor develops a hazy appearance. The inside fogs up in high moisture conditions, despite the anti-fog coating. Fits as it should with OEM Bell helmets. Click-release is a great feature!

This one is PERFECT, easy to install, and I can still see at night when I ride. 10 Stars

I just got this dark gold iridium face shield today and so far I like it. It has a good color that turns a little turquoise when you move it around but not much in my opinion. I havent had the use of it to see how much it smudges or scratches but I have a dark silver iridium one too that got scratched up a bit from a drop. I can imagine this one will be like the silver one, which I love. I bought this one to replace the other one that i scratched up. I only wish Bell made a green one that would match my green Z1000 better.

Im satisfied with the quality and the cost of the helmet, but it kills me to spend half the helmet cost for a replacement shield... Cost is double for these shields as compared to other brand helmets of similar quality and use...The helmet is the lowest priced helmet that Bell offers...but not the shields...$40 for clear and color tinted, $65 for iridium colored tints, and $130 for photo-gray transitional type...the helmet ranges from $100 to $150...and now there is another higher dollar version of the same helmet...

This looks perfect on my helmet. The iridium coating keeps it dark and prevents people from seeing my eyes even on those bright California days. The only thing that I wish wasnt there was the stamped on the visor warning that the visor is not for night time use. Its a good warning, but Im not thrilled that its permanently stamped on it. Its in the upper corner, but for me it takes away a bit from the sleek look. Its not terrible, but I dont love it. Maybe its required by law, I dont know. That being said it looks great on my helmet.

Even though I am using an older vortex helmet this still fits and functions like brand new.
