Very heavy. These will last 50 years. Exactly what I needed. My DIL and I built a huge swing set with these and four 4x4s.

I chose this one because you slide the post through the bracket, then screw... other brands didnt seem as secure.

Love it!! So simple to put together. Had to get help pushing the set up once all assembled. Also, got wood from Home Depot and it was too big for the holes, had to slim the ends down some was a bit annoying.

Great product, you will have to persuade it on with a big hammer, as it is very tight. Does what it is supposed to do after that. I would recommend this product but be ready to work to get it together, and hope you never have to take it off.

I used these with a 14 foot 4x6. I hung enough of the timber outside the end of the brackets to leave exactly 152 (12 foot 8 inches) between the start of one bracket to the start of the other bracket. I hung 2 swings (alternating not side by side) a trapeze and a rope/disc swing. Leaving 18 from end of first bracket to hinge on first swing hanger, then 17 for actual space between swing chains (swing holes were spaced at 15 allowing for 1 inch on either side to space outwards), then again 18 space between trapeze. Then exactly 16 for trapeze since those you want exactly up and down from holes, then 18 to 2nd swing followed by 17 for that swing. Then 24 space to rope followed by 24 space to end of opposite bracket. No one else clarified spacing anywhere so I thought I would. D

Pressure treated lumber commonly available at Lowes / Home Depot may be extremely snug or small fractions of an inch too large since its been recently treated and is swollen. Id recommend definitely getting a rubber mallet or a hammer with a 2x4 to make sure you can bang your lumber into these brackets. I wont take points off review since or clearly recommends kiln-dried lumber in the description, but just wanted to let people know. Otherwise seems like a fine bracket.

One was a little hard to install. I used a maul hammer and 2by4 to solve my problem. Used 4by6by12 and 4by4by12.

For the beam I used I did have to sand it a bit to get it on but it does make for a sturdy swing set.

Fortunately, I received brackets with the preferred bolt pattern and good welds. Dont pay much attention to the instructions. Use 10 legs if you want to make use of 66 chain swings. I used a 10 top piece and added the cross members for extra stability. The separately purchased hangars dont come with hardware, so get some 5/16x2 lag screws and washers. I suggest securing legs on one side but only insert the other two to stand the whole thing up. Then, make everything square and level before securing the other legs. The wood required a little bit of sanding, mainly the corners, to slide it smoothly. Overall, its a good way to build a swing.

Make sure you double check the direction of the angles the picture on the instructions is wrong. Stickers go on opposite sides
