I am a non smoker living with a smoker and it has been killing me. I wake up with puffy eyes and a lot of times I cant breath. I received it plugged it in and it immediately made a difference. Someone burned popcorn and my room was the only room it didnt smell... I am grateful for this machine.

Theres like this high pitched electrical whine? I think its coming from the plug, but not sure. Its pretty noticeable, more than other electronic whines, and unfortunately with both the unit and outlet right by my bed and in a super small room (7x11), its rough and sometimes I just have to unplug it when its not smokey, which is unideal. I cant really return it since the smoke season here hasnt let up yet and Im asthmatic, but I would recommend against this for a bedroom or a room you spend a lot of time of high pitched electrical noises bother you.

I often have to hold my hand over the top to feel the air movement to know that it is running. But, even though this is in our family room, if the bacon gets burned the slightest in the kitchen, you can hear this ramp up the fan until the air is clear, so we know the air quality sensor does work. We purchased this model because when I researched the availability of filters for some of the other models, they were all listed as out of stock, backorders, or just unavailable. This model seems pretty standard so you can get filters from third parties if you like. It really is quiet!

I have three of these filters so far in my home. My husband suffers intense allergies and I have severe dry eye issues. Using this has helped him with not being miserable every morning, and has helped my eye issues as well. It cleans the air near my kitchen to clear the smoke/steam from cooking as well. I love it!

This is the 3rd purifier I got from Blueair. The quality of the product is really good as always. The higher than average CFM, compared to other brands (coway or dyson) in similar size, circulates the air faster, and allows the machine to cover a larger area. One thing that I learned from researching for air purifier is that Blueair filters are technically not HEPA certified. They call themselves HEPASilent which is not HEPA certified. The only products that are really HEPA certified are the ones marked with True HPEA, and Blueair is not one of them. However, they did have individual test result to prove their filtration, and many tests are also available on youtube, so I wasnt too concern about it. Love the auto mode, which my Classic 605 doesnt have, making it a perfect choice for bedrooms since the machine would slow down automatically at night and stay quiet.

I havent had these long so I cant speak to longevity, nor am I able to test air quality. That being said, I really like these units. I regret not picking up the larger one for my living room, but even the small one gets the job done. They are packaged well, no assembly at all (peel off a sticker and plug it in), with a simple one-button interface. They look good. They definitely are accurately kicking into high power/displaying poor air quality in that I can tell when I vape in the room and such they consistently turn up and flash the orange or red LED showing poor air quality. Some users may find them a little loud. When they are on high they are louder than my normal tower fans, but on low they are much quieter. As someone who regularly sleeps with fans or a/c, the noise level does not disturb me at all. If you are a very quiet sleeper, you may want to err on the side of caution with a larger size than your space demands- as the improved air maintenance should mean it kicking into high power less often. There may also be an option to leave it on low, but since it doesnt bother me I havent looked into it. All in all I would absolutely recommend these units to friends and family.
