Boggle Classic Game

Since not being able to go out much die to virus, this is a fun family game.

Small size makes it perfect for one on one fun with my preteen.

Boggle is a fun, fast-paced word game. Its incredibly easy to learn (youll be up and playing in minutes). The premise is this: There is a grid of random letter dice that you try to find as many words as possible in a short time limit. You earn points for any UNIQUE words you find vs. your opponents. Its a classic thats been around forever for a reason. This particular edition, though, kind of stinks. I cant explain why they would have designed the set this way, but it puts a big crimp in the fun. The clamshell lid, when fully snapped in place, is SO TIGHT its almost impossible to open the game without having dice fly all over the place! Thus, in order to shake the plastic box (to randomize the letters), you cant fully nest the lid and the bottom tray. AWKWAAARD. Its a silly design flaw that I hope Hasbro will correct in future editions. In all seriousness, if you like word-puzzle games, get Boggle. Just get a different edition.

This is a nice way to help chicldren who are early readers to work out how to spell words. And to think critically to find those words.

The letter blocks are the same size as the regular version I grew up playing, but the smaller case makes it great for travel and storage.
