Bones REDS Skateboard Bearings 8 Pack

I ordered these bearings approximately a month ago and two have already died. I usually skate 3-4 times a week (roughly 6-10 hours), but its been even less lately since Ive been sick. Id say I skated on these bearings for a total of 10 hours before I started hearing an awful noise from one wheel. Against my better judgement I put another ten hours or so on them. I took the bearings out (with a bearing puller so as not to damage them) and couldnt see anything visually wrong with them. I decided to go ahead and pull them apart and clean them when I discovered several of the balls are completely stuck in place and wont move. Aside from that little frustration I wasnt that impressed with the way they rolled. They felt very slow to me compared to the ABEC rated (1,3, and 5) bearings Ive used in the past. I was kind of bummed because these bearings are so highly rated on Amazon reviews. I have since looked elsewhere on the web and found that these bearings do not usually garner such glowing reviews. March 25, 2010 UPDATE: The day after I posted my initial review I had another bearing go bad. I am not abusing these bearings in any way so I cant understand why this is happening. I definitely wont be buying these bearings again, regardless of how inexpensive they are.

Bones are the best

These are used to complement my bright pink OJ wheels for my skateboard and do so brilliantly, getting excellent wear from them, love them!

Unless youre pro dont bother paying anymore for more expensive bearings. These will work for just about any skater out there who wants their wheels to spin smooth and quiet.

I bought these along with my Stereo Vinyl Cruiser and let me start off by saying what a difference it made. I took off one of the stock bearings on my cruiser and replaced it with a bones red. the spin time had a significant difference: Bones Red: 32 second spin Stock (Abec 7s): 4 second spin recommended for replacing those cheap stock bearings.

The bearings are great, but they don’t come with all you need. They are missing the speed washers and spacers. The same price can get you the everything. Just make sure you select the completed set when checking out!

Great product and price! My four family members just started enjoying quad roller skating and I picked these up for my wife and I. Initially I bought a set of 16 from an online skate retailer at a higher price, not realizing they were available on Amazon for MUCH less. So far we are both enjoying them. Remember these come in a pack of 8, so for quad slates you need two boxes. These spin much longer and smoother than the stock ratec 5s and 7s that came on our skates. Install was easy, used our axles to pop off the old ones and then stacked the new ones on the axle facing the right way to push the wheels onto the new bearings into place. We are using our stock bearings for our kids skates until they get a little more experience and then well be back shortly for another 4 boxes for their skates!

My longboard bearings were the stock ones and were getting old after about a year so I replaced them with these. They worked very well and made my wheels spin forever once installed. Unfortunately my board was recently stolen so I will never know how long they last.

Theyre just great bearings.
