Great and funny classic

This is an absolutely wonderful movie. Very very funny. All the actors in it are great. I have watched this movie. At least seven times over the years since I first discovered it. And I’m sure I’ll be watching it again.

We have watched this movie so often and love it so much we had to purchase the DVD. Its a great interpretation of the Broadway play and a good family story.

Love this movie

Combined families and their funny problems and quirks, humorous situations, and memories of shortages and conserving to make ends meet. Teen comming of age problems and Eugenes handling of them. All these make a very funny and entertaining movie. I think all would enjoy this very personal look at the way people lived near the end of the depression and early prewar 40s and how they coped with situations in their lives that arose. It is similar to the movie, Woody Allens, Radio Days. If you like family situation comedy, you will like this movie.

This is a movie I shared with friends who enjoyed the the story behind this time peace. View this movie numerous times, considered on my top ten list.

It was listed with baseball movies. This is very much a stretch. One scene has the star playing catch.
