Brighton: Training Days Book 2

Jen Valencia
> 3 dayJ.D. Light is back with the second book in the Training Days series, and this time around, the friends-to-lovers trope focuses on best friends Brighton Walker and Knox Green. Besties for about two years, the dance student turned yoga instructor has the power lifters back--literally! Brighton isnt exactly a fan of walking--which kinda makes his last name ironic--but Knox doesnt mind giving the guy a lift--which is really quite perfect since hes, you know, a weightlifter and all. Plus, Knox is just that good of a friend, so of course, when Brighton is basically informed by his aunt that hes being kicked out of the place where hes been staying, Knox steps in and offers his extra room. But close quarters and hidden crushes are about to make things quite interesting between these two best of friends... Brighton was a sweet romance about two best friends whove had a thing for each other from the moment they met but whose doubts and hesitation had them becoming friends instead of asking one another out from the get-go. I liked that Brighton brought out both the protective and the more lighthearted sides of Knox. They had an easygoing friendship, and while Knox literally carrying Brighton on his back because the latter did not like walking unless absolutely necessary was a tad...unconventional...I did like that they seemed to be there for each other through everything. This story had little to no angst, and while I do love me my angst, I can more than appreciate that this book didnt need it at all. This quickie of a read gets four stars and has me looking forward to book three! ♥

> 3 dayThis book was so much fun to read. Take a dancer/yoga instructor that cant stand walking anywhere and a buff gym coach that doesnt mind having an extra appendage and you get a really cute story of friends-to-lovers. Brighton is such a fun character and Knox is the perfect counterpart. I look forward to seeing what antics they get up to in future books with the other lovable characters from the gym.

> 3 dayI found myself absolutely charmed by Brighton and Knox. They were introduced briefly in the first book, however that can be read as a standalone read. Their story is quirky and adorable. Both characters are likable and fun to read. I was surprised as to how quickly it was over, but a nice one nonetheless. I am interested to read the next one.

Greater than one weekThe Training Days series is such a cute series! The characters are so adorable and cuddly and cute. Each guy is unique in their own way and the gruff looking ones happen to be the biggest and cuddliest bears! This series slightly me reminds me of JM Dabneys Twirled World Ink series, just that these have less angst. Brighton and Knox are adorable, in book one this is the duo where Brighton was clinging/climbing/sitting on Knox and Knox would just walk him everywhere. My favorite is when Knox walks in on Brighton on his bed...hehehe so hilarious and sexy :) This is my first series reads from JD Light but I am very much enjoying this series :) Cant wait to read about Jordan!!

> 3 day“I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.” This is such a fun, entertaining book. Brighton is absolutely hilarious, and Knox panders to him wothout thought. As fun as this book is Brighton has also spent most of his life being left behind, ostrasized and hurt. A very sexy friends to lovers romance. A great series.

Greater than one weekOh how lovely. Knox and Brighton re just adorable. I love the way that Knox lets him hang off of him like this is completely normal and doesnt bat an eye. Brighton is so clumsy and adorable and maybe a lot clueless about lots of things but not when he finally gets his man. They have ups and downs and lots of misunderstandings, but they are perfect for each other and it shows in everything that they do. I received an arc and voluntarily left an honest review.

> 3 dayThis was a sweet friends-to-lovers story. We met Brighton and Knox in the last book, and it was great to read their story. It was definitely fluffy, but absolutely perfect for a day when you dont want any angst. Very enjoyable. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC provided by LesCourt Author Services
