Brother MFC-J1010DW Wireless Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer with Mobile Device and Duplex Printing, Refresh Subscription and Amazon Dash Replenishment Ready

Before buying this printer, take a quick look at the mountains of reviews of people trying to find the overpriced ink for it. Every retail site, including Brother, is full of reviews from people whove owned this printer for less than a year but can not use it at all because there is no ink available anywhere - for months. Insult to injury are the auto generated responses from Brother saying they take customer service seriously and the ink will be available soon, blah, blah, blah. Weve owned the printer for 8 months and are in the same boat. We had our previous Brother printer for at least 10 years and it was amazing (no longer available and too expense to repair -ink pad was full and repair was way more expensive than a new printer). The old Brother did everything we needed it to do and the ink was reasonably priced. We loved it. This printer/scanner works great but without ink, which is also ridiculously expensive, it is truly a paper weight. A reliable printer is essential for our business and we are now faced with buying a new printer or running out to FedEx until Brother fixes their supply issue. Brother is doing nothing to rectify the problem. At this point they should be offering full refund/credit for the printer and the overpriced ink owners have purchased but cant use because the machine wont print at all if even one cart is low. Unacceptable.

Great printer but ink doesnt last long and ink cartridges are very expensive and you can only find it on Amazon so then you have to wait for it to ship not worth it in the long run more expensive

Printer work good but it is really hard getting black ink. Amazon canceled one ink order. I tried to order ink again and now it is pushed back another 2 weeks if I even get it. Nope… make it another week… just got notification that new delivery date is out another week… this is ridiculous!!!!Be aware the ink for this unit is really hard to get. Wish I would have know that. I had two previous brother printers and ink was never an issue

My work company bought this printer, we just need to double scan documents to our system, but it does not scan properly, everything has to be faced down to scan and second it does not double scan , also ink runs out pretty quick, had printer for less then 2 months and out of ink. But otherwise it’s a good printer, just not what we need it for, so we are stuck with this printer for right now

Good printer but I have waited over 3 weeks for the Black ink LC401 to be in stock. It is out of stock at every Staples, online and even Brother websites. Would never buy another Brother Printer again. You get what you pay for.

The printer works fine but replacement black ink cartriges have not been available for over 2 months. Brother has no idea when black ink will be available again. My printer cannot be used. I only had it for 6 mnths. Dont buy .

We purchased this printer and could never get it to connect to our Wi-Fi. It had horrible instructions and tech-support was no help.

What a crappy printer makes all kind of noise.... But worse there is NO INK FOR SALE for this printer anywhere, and even if there were replacement ink for this printer it would be cheaper to buy a whole new printer than replace the ink cartridges - which Brother doesnt have! No one does, for four weeks now! Buy something else.

Only comes with starter ink cartridges. Spent almost the cost of the printer getting standard cartridges.
