California Air Tools CAT-4710SQ 4710Sq Quiet Compressor Gray 4.7 gallons

I love the fact that this compressor is really quiet. I can run it in the house without it making a lot of noise. It works as well as other compressors I have used. The only issue (and it is not a big deal) is the weight of the unit. It is fairly heavy and cant be carried any great distance. Since I transport it via vehicle, I can put up with weight. All in all, a worthwhile purchase.

Not as portable as those pancake compressors but a powerhouse of continuous air flow and a completely different class when it comes to the noise. I have not tried bringing it up from the basement workshop yet for other projects but I have used it extensively in my workshop and you do not feel like you probably should get the ear protection on like with my old pancake style compressor. Bigger tank, double pistons, larger motor, less on/off cycling, less noise, cool running. Overall a great purchase for me. The only negatives, size and weight are proportional to the power but manageable. It it portable but I may never move it, maybe I will look onto getting a portable tank for filling the cars tires.

For a small compressor, it is very efficient. It is nice to be able to hold a conversation with anyone in the room.

Very happily surprised at how quiet this compressor is! Its not super powerful, but works fine for do it yourself around the house and for working on my vehicles. Also used it to blow out the lines to winterize the small inground pool and RV.

Love this air compressor! It is whisper quiet and charges fast! Its not heavy to me however look at the specs before you buy. This is a big upgrade over the pancake air compressor I had before. I expect to have it for years to come.

I was fed up with turning on my old compressor the having to flee the shop while it filled. This is bigger yet fills faster. Quietness was not a bonus for me, it was my primary qualification. This IS quiet, and it’s well-made. What is a bonus is that the condensate drain has a lever, not a hard-and-slow to turn small knurled knob. Very pleased, I should have given the old compressor to charity long ago.

I mainly like this compressor, it is incredibly quiet which is a great feature! I am a little less impressed by the build quality, the fit and finish is not what I was expecting and it feels very fragile. luckily I am not going to be moving it much so that shouldnt be a problem but if I needed to move it around on multiple jobsites I would be worried that parts would break off if accidentally bumped. Overall I am happy with the compressor.

I like everything about this machine good product for the money you can’t beat it.

This thing is great. I also have a 60gal belt drive oiled compressor in my shop. This thing is quieter than the 60gal. So far it has had no issues, I dont see any reason to have any. Its easy to tote upstairs. I got this mostly for nail guns. I used to fill a 5 gallon tank and use that in the house for my nailers. When the nails stopped sinking deep enough, I had to refill. I should have bought one of these years ago. Im happier I got this higher flow model over the single stage ones, supposedly they are quieter. This thing is quiet enough to use in a small room and not worry about bothering other rooms. The nailers are way louder.

The price was great and the unit works fine. At this price if it breaks down you can afford to throw it away.
