California Air Tools CAT-4710SQ 4710Sq Quiet Compressor Gray 4.7 gallons

This compressor is very quiet and actually is not that big. It makes plenty of air for my needs including blowing up tires, some air tools and air brushing. I did not want a large bulky and noisy compressor and this one is just right. I am sure it would easily run air nailers, pop rivet guns, air operated grease gun and other small volume air tools.

Very quiet! Works well, easy to assemble, fast shipping! Had a harbor freight 21 gal compressor that was so loud it couldn’t be used inside. Plugged this in in my kitchen to test it out... almost as quiet as my 56dB washer... very happy with it!

Where was this machine all my life? If all I needed was to keep my tires inflated I’d probably still buy this. A pneumatic nail gun prompted me to buy this. I never know if something this inexpensive is just a Chinese knock-off or a safe, well-built machine. Time will tell, but so far I’m living the whisper quiet operation and solid construction. It weighs a bit much, so I’ll likely put it on wheels. UPDATE 2022: I have somehow made excuses to buy pneumatic tools just because of the great compressor. I made it sound near silent in the original review. It’s not. But relative to its peers there is no comparison. I did have a part failure that took some work and really thread compound to replace successfully. Not expensive though. And I’d still buy this again.

Its a compressor; you know what it does. The only question is how loud it is, and Id equate it to a newer garage door or maybe a washing machine. Something that does not cause you to raise your voice in a conversation at all. Perfect for my garage!

Very quiet compared to the usual cheap, small compressors, with a lot more capacity. Youre not going to run a die grinder all day, but it pumps up car tires very quickly and will power small tools.

The price was great and the unit works fine. At this price if it breaks down you can afford to throw it away.

I love the fact that this compressor is really quiet. I can run it in the house without it making a lot of noise. It works as well as other compressors I have used. The only issue (and it is not a big deal) is the weight of the unit. It is fairly heavy and cant be carried any great distance. Since I transport it via vehicle, I can put up with weight. All in all, a worthwhile purchase.

This is the air compressor you want. I use it mainly for spraying glazes on my ceramics. Best air compressor I’ve ever used.

A beautiful retro look and ridiculously quiet. I have no idea how long this will last. As others have noted I doubt this thing ought to be transported. So for the pros. This is the quietest compressor I have ever heard. It is a beautiful gray retro luck and a lot of the workings of this visible. So for the cons. This is not the lightest compressor. A lot of the functionality of this is visible so therefore I do not think this would last being thrown in and out of a truck on a daily basis

Using it to set up on a 80 gallon tank with cooling fans for the extended running times itll encounter. Ill let you know how it lasts and put up some pictures!
