Da bomb! Great solder and surprisingly decent price compared to similar quality solder such as kestler, considering that the Cardas brand usually comes with a silly audiophile premium price. It’s very thin, but if you need thicker just twist it together into a thicker braid.

Excellent solder - a hidden gem. Proper size (~0.81mm) which is important as anything above 0.8 or so is really pushing it for most electronic work, certainly precision work with audio. Its not the cheapest solder, but its not that expensive considering the quality you get from Cardas. It melts at a very low temperature, which is always good for the longevity of your product/PCB, and it flows beautifully. I did not need to use any extra flux wiring many 24AWG wires and SMD components - the solder provides a clean, smooth flow and the joints come out very nicely. Of course, a proper iron with good tips and technique is essential in soldering, but the Cardas solder provides an easy, efficient, waste-free product for all types of electronic work and certainly in the high end audio sector.

As a ASEET electronics tech I been soldering for 40 years. This is easily the best solder Ive used. The flow out is fantastic and makes a cold solder joint impossible unless you screw up from a lack of solder skills. The silver content is perfect and is proven by the bright silver color of the joints and testing a 5 foot length with an ohm meter against the other brands. The Cardas shows the lowest resistance of any solder out there. Clean the soldered joint with a q tip and alcohol to see the proof. I add a dab of rosin flux on old solder joints with unknown solder and this solder flows and blends perfectly.

This solder is amazing, I used this to join a connection of 2/0 battery cables, and this did the job very well. I was pleased at the rather low temp this solder flowed into the center of the connection. And how well the the joint looked after it cooled. Cleaned up very well and allowed the heat shrink tubing to lay nicely over the connection. I will always make sure to have some of this on hand.

Good product, but rosin smell is unpleasant to me. Will probably go back to Wonder Solder.

Absolutely great solder, flows easy, good cleanup, sounds fantastic in my Bottlehead Crack. A clean precise solder for audio applications.
