Greater than one weekI would give this 5 stars, but no matter how much I mix it, there are white bits it leaves. I can shake it stir it, and so on, and it has white chunks. Other than that it seems to work great. Just dont dump it in the tank. Mix well 1st.

> 3 dayWe have had a 38 gallon cichlid tank for awhile now. We keep losing fish. A friend gave us a 46 gallon tank and we decided to move the cichlids to the bigger tank. We decided that this time, we were going to do it right. We used cichlid sand and this cichlid salt. When we went to test the water before putting the fish in, everything was right on. The first 6 fish have been in the new tank for 5 days now and are doing well. No casualties from the move, and their colors are so much brighter. Our orange fish is bright neon now, and the yellow fish are so much brighter, too! In another 5 days or so, well add the rest of the cichlids to the new tank. Im so glad that we bought this salt.

> 3 dayI love this salt for my African cichlid tank. However, when I received them both bottles had the tops off and all of the salt was just in the envelope. I let amazon know and they sent a replacement for just one. When filling out the form to get a replacement, It didnt allow me to change the amount.

Greater than one weekOk, this will be a tough one to write about, I bought this product to help solving the rubbing phenomena in my 75 African Cichlids tank. When I received this product, I did a 25% water change, added the salt and raised the temperature to 82 degrees. The second day I noticed a good improvement, the rubbing level was decreased about 90%. However, 1 week later one of my cichlids (Blue Zebra) died, 2 days later another cichlid (Auratus) died as well. Ok, I had my tank established for 1 year so far with 20 African Cichlids in it mostly mbunas and 4 peacocks and never had any death in this tank before. I use a huge canister (1200 Cascade) and a hang on the back Marineland 350gph filter. I do water change weekly or biweekly. I meant to mention these details to give a better idea of why I suspect that the fish death has happened due to the use this salt. I like seachem products as I always use Prime in both of my tanks. I might update this review if I find anything new related to this product since I dont need to use it at the mean time.
