I think overall my kid is going to learn and add to his knowledge I bought this for my 11 year old son who is homeschooled and this was an addition to regular curriculum. Im so glad I purchased it! You should know that there is no software in the box, you simply receive a web address and a code to download the software along with a 8gb thumb drive. The thumb drive itself is blank - think of it more as a freebie - you dont even need it for learning. We have a Macbook and our son was able to follow the online directions and get everything required himself. Hes a bright boy, but not necessarily a computer nerd, so a child who can listen and follow directions will be successful with this. He has had a little bit of programming instruction through the free online Khan Academy, so the first few lessons were a wonderful review for him. He ran into a few little problems with his code, so he sent a chat message through the help feature and received timely answers that helped him sort out his mistakes on his own. After a bit of trial and error, he was able to complete the tasks with help from the chat feature when required. The instructions are available are in text and also in video tutorials and each of the lesson is followed by a practical exercise. My husband and I didnt have to do a thing to help. What a relief to find a product like this that doesnt require hours of tech support and troubleshooting just to make it work for your kid!

Basically, I love this - the web site is super responsive and clearly well-coded. The tasks easy to implement and a great learning tool. I recommend heartily. I am learning, and Ive got a much better sense of coding than the intended audience. Creative gaming an excellent way for children/newbies to learn - indeed!

My son loves simply coding and has learned so much. There are other courses once this one is completed. The instructors are wonderful and great with our 13 year old son. This is the best Christmas gift we have ever bought for our son. We would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in coding.

I got this for my nephew because he was dying to try out coding for robotics, this is a great entry level coding for him and I’m enjoying the games he’s creating he says I really informative and I agree, it’s really kid friendly

My teen needed to create a game for school and this walked him though the process. He completed his assignment without complaints and was able to execute with flying colors.

Ive taken the course personally and now am ordering as a gift, cant wait to give this awesome product as a gift to someone I know who will love to code. Great program, really helps you learn html, css, and JavaScript in a fun way, and comes with a usb. The online chat support is very helpful with quick answers to questions.

My 12 year son loved this program. Its easy to navigate and well designed. He didnt need any adult help. I am surprised that this is his first online learning experience and everything was so smooth. People at Simply coding make sure you get enough support (Online chat and web sessions). I highly recommend this product.

I got this as a project for my 9 and 15 year old to work on together. They are both really interested in programming. It was very easy to get up and running and I liked that the free 8gb usb drive wasnt one of those install and re-use bonuses - it came empty as a true extra. The packaging does indicate that the program is for ages 10+ and I think its important to remember that when you let your younger kiddo work with it - its an easy program, but they will likely need assistance from someone a little older. Thats exactly why this is a great thing to have my kids work on together.

As a homeschool mom with a techie wannable son, this program is fabulous. My son is really enjoying this program. Hes already completed the first game project.
