> 3 dayMake sure to check your motherboards memory compatibility list before buying this or any other DDR4 memory. I purchased a ASUS X99 Sabertooth along with this memory. On my first boot I noticed the red DRAM_LED was on solid indicating a memory error. The system did get into the BIOS without a problem and properly listed all the installed memory. Upon further inspection, I found that the memory I had purchased was a different version number than what is supported by my motherboard. NOTE: I am not talking about the model number (CMK16GX4M4A2666C16). There is also a version number. In my case, it was 4.23.

> 3 dayRan this at 3000mhz with zero issues on a Skylake build. Switched to X99 and heard about issues with memory running at that speed, but was able to run without issues by choosing the XMP settings. Doubled my order to 4x8gb for use with the EVGA X99 Micro 2 motherboard.
