Does everything its advertised to do. And does it well. Not very much else you can say. Super functional.

Wires.. We have so many these days between computers, routers, surveillance, alarms ect.. This pair of PoE converters do exactly what they are meant to by simplifying the home connection process and running streams of cords/wires, while being easy to use and low profile enough to keep hidden. They are very light weight and feel thin but seem strong enough and reliably built. The Plug-ins all worked well without any wiggle or loose connections and the port labeling is a nice touch for new users. They are bare bones in appearance and function but just as useful in utility as many of the larger, far more expensive converters Ive owned. A good set that does the minimum, but will do it well for both new comers and veteran users of PoE. Reliable, easy to use, easy to hide and practical for any setup.

This converter arrives in a very nondescript package but works well. I was able to extend some POE devices all the way back to my PoE switch 10 floors down the building. Nothing really to it! Plug them in on a functioning fiber path and youll be good to go. Im writing this review with them in use for less than 24 hours. Ill circle back if anything changes but, so far, so good!

These are exactly what they state - they are easy to set up and use and works for my needed setup. The only thing I wish they stated more clearly is the tip size of the POE adapter needed. Turns out it seems to be a standard 5.5 tip, but its not stated anywhere on the packaging that I could see. I also have not tested the overall speed of these on my setup, but they seem to work as described. They are small enough to easily tuck away without being so small that they seem fragile. The casing is metal with the ends plastic, which is fine. Ill give these a speed test when I get a chance and update as needed based on my personal results.

We are using NDI PTZ cameras for a studio set-up that use POE. These converters worked well to extend the range in for a longer run and provide additional options instead of a full managed switch .

I have a home lab set up as a hobby/learning platform. It does handle our whole home intranet I added fiber to the system just for the experience. These do work.

Bought these to extend Ethernet to another building but it wasnt exactly what I was looking for. These media converters use a single strand of fiber rather than the typical pair, so TX and RX are combined over that single strand. In the end I picked up a pair of Cisco switches that had 10G LR SFP modules with the LC connectors Im used to and am using them instead. Not knocking these CQENPR converters, they work but they just werent what I was looking for.

Good quality, full speeds, very useful. Ive been meaning to run a 150 ethernet cable out to the garage- yet, I didnt want to run a POE cable to a cam out there. The longer the cable, the more strain on the switch, and switches arent cheap. With these adapters used as a pair, all that cable length is replaced by a simple fiber optic cable. Much easier to run through the house and tight places. So, attach ethernet adapter in house. Attach SC single mode cable to adapter one, and run the 150 to the second adapter in garage. There were several ways to power this; either with POE in the house, and a special POE injector at the far end, -OR - forget the POE altogether, and use a 12 volt adapter on each end plugged into the adapter. I have a POE switch, but liked the idea of using simple 12 volt adapters on either end. In the photos, you can see the adapters I used (easy to get pretty much anywhere) that I dug out of my old parts box. Youll see the converters ethernet light up with either the Blue POE wire in one picture, or with unpowered ethernet (a black connector) and a 12 v/2 amp power supply plugged into the converter. Works the same way on both ends. Run the SC single mode optical cable from converter A to B (it doesnt matter which order you put them in) and youre done. This is a simple, elegant solution that saves strain by eliminating LONG POE cable runs. To boot, you can make that optical cable, literally, miles long. In my mind, this is the right stuff!

The Cqenpr media converter functions well when correctly setup and installed. Note, one of the listing images (woman holding the unit between her fingers) is obviously a bad Photoshop job as it lists the dimensions correctly but makes the converter appear to be about 50% smaller than it really is. The device works at the advertised speed but one point that isnt perfectly clear in all the photos and information is that you must either provide PoE or DC 12-48V at each media converter. A couple of the images seem to suggest that power can somehow miraculously travel over the fiber cable to the other end. There is even an image which shows a distance of 3km with arrows between the two converters and text which reads DATA+Power. In my configuration I was setting up a distant PoE camera; I had an Ethernet cable to the A coupler, which was connected to a PoE switch, then a SC/APC cable between the A and B couplers and at the B coupler side I attached a 12V DC adapter and then an Ethernet cable to the PoE camera. Everything works great and the configuration allows me to have a camera at a good long distance away without additional networking hardware at the remote location beyond the B coupler and its power source.

I needed to move my PoE camera away from the router and converter made it possible. Works great and you dont need to worry about running Ethernet cable and going beyond the signal reach. Power adapter uses 5.5 connector, you would also need Fiber cable to use the converter (not included in the set).
