This is a handy tool that Im using for determining if shelves and mounts with multiple points of hanging are level especially when Im hanging items above my head. I use this to make certain the holes I want to make are level with each other by marking the spots. There is a small cylinder with green liquid and a bubble for determining if the marks are level or not. To help with this, the cylinder also has 2 thin metal-looking rings for judging the placement of the bubble which helps a lot. I dont have much experience working with levels, but note that there are 2 other little cylinders - one at a vertical angle and the other at a tilt with small bubbles. These 2 also have 2 thin metal-looking lines for each cylinder for when straight vertical lines or straight lines along a 45 degree angle are desired. I havent used the level for anything other than determining horizontal placement so I cannot address using this for vertical or angled placements. This level is bright red so it should be easy to find although Ive already misplaced this it because its so compact. I have found it again. There is a magnet on the bottom of this which I dont quite understand why. I rate this at 5 stars because this is compact, easy to use, and very helpful when hanging items where its important to verify that the hanging points are straight and in line.

I didnt interpret the pictures correctly. I thought it was all aluminum, but the body is full plastic.

This is a perfectly sized level and feels well constructed. I just used it to hang a floating shelf and it was much easier than breaking out the large level I normally use.

Good and sturdy product for indoor use....

This is a good level. Its accurate and sturdy. Ive not had any issues with it and would recommend. I treat my tools like delicate eggs, so Ive not banged this around to see how easily I could dent it or destroy it. If youre careless with your tools, your mileage may vary.

The product page clearly states this 4ft level is magnetic, but I assure you it definitely is not
