> 3 dayI was extremely surprised at how quiet my printer is after the upgrade. This is a must for your 3D printer.

Greater than one weekI tried my stock board and these seem to be the only replacements offered so I opted to try it, wasnt even looking for the benefits. After startup I thought something was broken, no way was my once 90s dial up 3D printer almost completely silent. After a few days of running I bought more boards for my other machines, get this board!

> 3 dayReally amazing drivers in these, heat brake cooling fan is the loudest thing on my ender 3 now! plugged in a CL touch and did the software update from creality site, no problem. Original board had a ton of hot glue on the connectors, take your time and use some ipa soaked q-tip on the hotglue to release it.

15-04-2025Okay, learned a lot about this board. The firmware versions on the file and screen dont match. I flashed to the latest Marlin firmware provided by Creality and found the screen only reads 1.1.2 instead of the version 2.0.1 that may be installed. The version that came on the board did not support my CR Touch. The clamps for the wired were a bit finicky. Once I did all the leg work the board seems to be working fine.

> 3 dayThis mainboard (v4.2.7) eliminated the stepper noise on my Ender 3 Pro which was running the v4.2.2 mainboard. Now when I print all I can hear are the fans.

> 3 dayAfter exchanging boards, I booted my printer up and....nothing. Ive been trying to flash every firmware known to man, even though it supposedly comes with firmware pre-installed and is supposed to be plug and play, mine was not. Thanks for the waste of time

> 3 dayNot a drop-in replacement for any printer due to EEPROM is disabled in the firmware. Therefore you loose your setting when you turn off the power.

> 3 dayThe board was a drop-in replacement and went in without too much hassle. Also, it’s miraculously quiet compared to the stock board. The problem with the 1.1.5, though, is how the Trinamic drivers are connected. They’re in legacy mode, not UART. By default, they run in StealthChop mode, which really is quiet. But it’s also lower torque than the original drivers, so sometimes it skips steps. Out of the box, my 1.1.5 board was skipping steps on the Z axis and gave me a few weird layers on a small print. I think it was also skipping on the extruder. When the drivers are wired in UART, you can selectively switch them into SpreadCycle (louder, but better torque) and also tweak the drive current through the controls. But on the 1.1.5, they can’t be switched to SpreadCycle. Drive current can be adjusted, but this is manual on the board, not in software. I returned the board. I probably could have adjusted the current higher to help with the Z and extruder skipping, but without the ability to switch out of StealthChop mode, it’s not a robust solution. I ended up getting an EZboard Lite from TH3D, and the thing is awesome - quiet, reliable, full support of the Trinamic features, easy firmware upgrades, and good general support. You get what you pay for. The 1.1.5 is quiet, but with the way they connect the Trinamic drivers, they leave out a lot of the benefits I thought I was getting.

> 3 dayI had no idea that you could make a printer so quiet. After installing the board and powering on, the first thing I did was auto home for an initial test and I knew this was supposed to be a silent board but for a second there was a weird disconnect between what my brain was expecting to hear and what I was seeing. Im so used to the motor whine and there is absolutely no noise. Its ridiculously quiet. Initial board inspection showed no issues with quality control. Connections are lebled. Just swapped everything over, powered on and good to go. I did have to calibrate the esteps but I just took note of my previous boards config, extruded 100m to confirm it was underextruding and set it to what the original board was and it was good. Very pleased with this upgrade. Update- Firmware 1.1.8 is installed and I have confirmed that thermal runaway protection is enabled as advertised.

> 3 dayMy board did not come with 1.1.8 installed but instead 1.0.1, will be returning.
