> 3 dayYeah I get it, having the screen saver/lock start after 5 minutes of inactivity is probably best when your laptop is sitting in a shared open office environment, or out in public, and yeah having a long and frequently changing password might make sense in some situations... but in my office at home? nah, thats crap. Enter the Mouse Jiggler! With no software to install, this isnt directly detectable by your IT Department. This shows up as a USB mouse, one that simply moves very tiny amounts at set times, just enough to convince your locked down work laptop that youre there and active so your screensaver doesnt cut when because you looked away from the screen for 5 minutes. There IS software to configure the device, which I recommend you install on your own personal computer. Use that to configure the frequency/style of the movements and they are saved to the device. Then move the device to your work system, just plug it in to any USB port like you would a wired mouse and it will keep using the settings you saved. Works on ANY system that can take a wired USB mouse (PC, Mac, Linux, any at all.) The price could be a little lower, for what it is.

> 3 dayI never write reviews, but if you’re a wagie working under an oppressive IT policy, this thing is awesome. Our computers all go to sleep after 10 minutes and our passwords are a 14 character nightmare that have to be changed every 60 days. Of course this doesn’t stop the boomers from clicking every low effort phishing email that pops up in front of them. Enter the mouse jiggler…pop this baby in, and it works instantly by moving your cursor a few pixels every minute. Now I only put my password in when I start up my computer. One word of caution, though. Be careful who you tell about this. The last thing you need is to turn on John Q. Boomer to the wonders of a mouse jiggler, and next thing you know, he’s asking the IT department how to make it do something it’s not meant to and youre busted.

> 3 dayIt works! My company has a set screensaver that goes on after 10 minutes-- I cant change this and the screen saver cause my lync status to turn yellow (inactive). This works like a charm Ive been green all day! Once plugged in and drivers automatically install (like a normal USB) it flashes orange, red, orange, green then the light turns off and it doesnt flash again until the mouse moves. It comes preprogrammed to move the mouse slightly about every minute and 5 seconds. When it does move, it will flash a green- its pretty subtle unless your watching for it. As mentioned on the back of the packaging if you want to program it to do more things and change the mouse moving time you go to their website and download the program. From other reviews it seems like you can program on a different computer so you dont have to install the program on say a work computer. I like that it looks like my normal wireless mouse USB (on left in picture) so no one would be able to tell the difference. In the picture, the jiggler is the USB on the right.

> 3 dayMy organization pushed a company-wide policy that makes all laptops sleep after 3 minutes of inactivity on battery power and disabled user-control of power management settings. This was done because some (>10%) of the laptops have battery issues that could cause overheating. My laptop was unaffected by the battery issue, but the policy made it impossible for me to take notes during meetings because my laptop would sleep while I was paying attention to the speaker, then by the time Id CTRL+ALT+DEL and passworded back to my notes, the subject had moved on and I was way behind. The mouse jiggler has been a godsend. My computer doesnt sleep as long as its plugged in. I work on the machine normally and have never noticed unanticipated mouse movement. Ive never used the programmable features, as Im not permitted to install 3rd-party software on that machine. Incredible device that has circumvented an incredibly obnoxious, user-unfriendly IT policy.

> 3 dayI am not sure if this product is used since it doesnt have any manufacturer packaging. I tried the product and it doesnt even prompt for anything and doesnt work as advertised. Waste of money. Id recommend going with a different brand.
