Cruella [Blu-ray]

I loved this movie so much! I missed the watch date so I had to rent twice but still worth it! Best movie I have watched so far. 10/10

Since weve not been to the theater due to the pandemic, we thought why not check this film out? I can definitely say it was not worth it. I disliked this move so, so much. Save your money...this was unnecessarily long and drawn out, bordering on ridiculous. Emma Thompsons role was the only thing mildy interesting.

Excellent movie! Glad we bought it to keep in our collection.

I really like both Emmas so had to see it. But theres something off. Its almost there but not quite. Like the idea of it and the characters, but it just doesnt deliver. Emily Beecham who played her mother as a child is gorgeous and did the best acting of the females.

Poorly written with a bad plot that hits lots of clichés, but lacks any charm or wit. Characters lack depth, storytelling has no purpose, and everything exists to revolve around Cruella. Main character lacks any agency or personal responsibility; instead every action she takes is reactionary and justified by everything around her. She never once questions her behavior or choices, nor is the audience encouraged to do so. Instead, we are expected to simply go along and root her on simply because the villain is so cartoonishly evil that any action taken against her is justified by default. Cruella is simply another one of Disneys naked cash-grabs, trying to appeal to modern tastes by taking a classic and telling the story for the villains perspective...when in truth the story is so different and poorly written, you wouldnt be able to tell it was even connected to the original if you changed characters names. A waste of time and money.
