I don’t know why all pediatricians to breastfeeding babies don’t just automatically prescribe these instead of those awful dropper ones that you have to find a way to get your breastfed baby to swallow 1 ml of! My girl has spit up issues when she was younger and was a bottle reject baby. Every 3 out of 4 times I gave her the 1 ml dropper kind, she’d get so upset that she’d throw up not only the vitamins but whatever breastmilk was in her little tummy. Then a girlfriend told me about these. They are a lifesaver!!! One drop on the nipple before a feeding was all it took. Taste never bothered my girl.

After getting a sample of the DViSol liquid for my little guy, we found it hard to get down him after the first few times. I ended up feeling bad because of the amount of liquid we had to give him every day in the little syringe. He would look at me like I was trying to feed him soap. This is ONE drop. All I have to do is either drop it onto my finger, my boob, or into his little mouth and thats it! There isnt a taste, so he doesnt give me a grimace or gag. So easy, convienent, and better for my baby. I know hes getting what he needs with this bottle!

Ordered Ddrops and Upspring drops since they appeared to be basically the same (fractionated coconut oil is the only ingredient besides vitamin D) and Upspring was less expensive. I’ll be buying the Ddrops from now one for the dispenser alone. Both really were flavorless (I tasted), neither caused any gastric disturbance for my baby, but Ddrops was far easier to dispense (and let’s face it, none are easy - picture coordinating a squirming, hungry baby and drop rolling - you’ve got about 10 seconds). I expected Ddrops to have a dropper because of other reviews, but you just turn the bottle upside down and wait for the drop. Upspring was similar, but it’s hard to get a full drop and it didn’t drip well from the bottle. Ddrops is much better.

First time breastfeeding mom started using these drops after exhausting Enfamil d-vi-sol samples, and it was night and day! The Ddrops are easy to dispense (great for demanding baby who quickly starts screaming when hungry). One drop on a nipple and baby takes it without any trouble. No sign of stomach discomfort or any dislikes. This is much better than having to figure out how to slowly drip 1ml of enfamil around the nipple and end up all over baby’s face. Highly recommended!

I got these initially as a sample from my pediatricians office along with a bottle of D-Vi-Sol. I gave my 1-month-old baby D-Vi-Sol one time and he gagged for about 5 minutes; I felt terrible. I tried these the next day and I love that its just a drop that I can put on my nipple before nursing. He doesnt notice it. The only things I dont like about this product (which are far outweighed by the fact that Im not forcing 1 mL of sugary medicine into my childs mouth) are the dispensing method (holding the bottle upside down and waiting for one drop to fall out - it is not foolproof) and how quickly the drop runs so I have to get my infant son to latch on in 2 seconds so I dont lose the drop. I guess I could try other delivery methods that might be easier, such as a pacifier.

Weve had no issues with this. R is one year old and is huge, healthy and strong, but thats mainly due to the BFeeding. Though likely a combo of both. Started using this at Peds suggestion at about 2 months. Dont believe the HCL claims of it being dangerous. Not to be insulting, but to try and fully explain WHY it is not dangerous, I would virtually have to cram a college education into this little box. Suffice it to say that there is oxygen and hydrogen in rocket fuel. A highly volatile substance. However you drink the same two ingredients, in another mixture, everyday. Hence, though rocket fuel and water include two of the exact ingredients, theyre not the same (Think ions and isotopes). Also, the dropper is not a problem as some claim. And actually, the dropper is probably the best part! The other brands require A LOT of liquid for a dosage (syringes). Yes, this product does take about two seconds to form the drip. BUT it is virtually controlled and there is only ONE drop to administer to your baby, as directions state. In terms of risk analysis, would you rather the stuff squirt all over the place and then risk giving your newborn a bar shot worth of vit D or simply be patient and almost ensure no more than a literal drop will be delivered into your newborn? Common sense people. One last note: A negative reviewer stated something about the bottle was almost empty!...Yes, the bottle is no where near full....but...wait for it...because...the rate of usage and the expiration date would not match up. So, if the bottle were full, about 90% of the product would remain when the expiration date arrived. As a new (and overly protective daddy), I hope my own experience and opinion assists someone else when solely making there own decision.

I love that I can just put one drop on before my baby nurses and she gets the recommended amount of vitamin d. Before this, I was putting it in her bottle and she wouldn’t always finish the whole thing so I didn’t know if she was getting enough. The only downside is that it can be hard to get the drop out of the bottle. And then you have to be careful it doesn’t rub off onto your clothes or the baby before she starts nursing.

My pediatrician recommended we start our son on vitamin d drops. I carefully research everything we give our son, and this was no different. I was happy to find that these contain only fractionated coconut oil- no additives, which is a huge plus. My baby doesnt seem to mind the taste at all. The only thing I dont love is that the dropper takes a long time to release drops. If youre breastfeeding a squirmy baby, its super difficult to hold the bottle upside down for 10 seconds, aim it onto your breast, all while holding a baby that wants to eat. I started giving the drops to my baby on a spoon, it is so much easier to control and I can be certain that the entire drop is going into his mouth.
