> 3 day*update* Amelia from customer service reached out to me and apologized for the unit not working as advertised. The company is going to send me the larger upgraded version for free. I have updated my review to four stars to reflect superior customer service. I will give the unit some time, and update my rating accordingly based on how the new unit behaves. I really appreciate good customer service like this! This little machine worked pretty great for three of the four months Ive had it. Now the fan is loose and rattling around. Its become quite loud. I cant access the fan to fix it, so the whole units going in the trash. I dont recommend buying this product.

> 3 dayWorks great and is pretty quiet, only when ur in the room u can obviously hear the small fan but it’s not distractingly loud. Collects a lot of water, even after 1-2 hours of it on, I have half an inch!

> 3 dayThis unit replaces a RainyB unit that died. This MAKAYLA unit does a wonderful job, better than the unit it replaces. We use it in a 37 foot travel trailer to keep down the moisture in the air especially when cooking and when the AC is not on. It is used in the main part of the trailer that has a giant slide on the drivers side, and a small slide on the passenger side. I think this would be about 150 square feet (maybe a little less), and about 6ft 4 from floor to ceiling. If you know how to figure cubic feet from those figures that would be great. The unit is quiet, but not soundless. We have noticed little to no condensation on the windows in the morning, but also this is the end of February, but we do live in a humid southern state and heading for Spring here. As I write this the high today will be a humid 82 degrees. These little portable units do not have a compressor so they are unable to do zero humidity, but they do great job for what they are. I am considering purchasing a second one of these MAKAYLA units as we head into summer to use in the more forward part of the trailer which is the bedroom. My old RainyB unit displayed temperature and the moisture in the air, which I found very helpful and miss on the new unit. The new unit can light up in different colors which, imho, is just silly and useless. I am not discounting a star for this because I knew of this silly feature when I ordered the unit. Otherwise, at this time, this MAKAYLA unit is a five star product which I would buy again, and recommend to others.

> 3 dayMy bathroom does not have any ventilation and after showers was a mess drying walls mirrors just everything every time I showered, not anymore, this dehumidifier is a workhorse for being a smaller unit, very quiet too. Saved me so much work and possibly repairs to moisture damage. Love it!

> 3 dayI keep it in a bathroom that doesn’t have a ventilation fan in it. It helps reduce the humidity after showers. I haven’t had any issues with moisture buildup causing mold like I was before I got this dehumidifier.

> 3 dayI had a small flood in a utility closet. Afterwards, some areas of the concrete were not drying. I also had concerns about mildew so I needed a dehumidifier. This one by Makayla was right for the size. After setting it up, the concrete dried very quickly. Ive left it running pretty much non-stop ever since (a few months) and there havent been any functional problems. And admittedly, I get a kick out of those lights reflecting through the water. Good night light for the utility closet. My only real issue with the product is that it makes a terrible ruckus when it is first turned on after emptying a full tank of water. This did not occur the very first time it was used. Regardless of which mode you use, theres a loud whirring type of mechanical whine. So far, the sound has always gone back to normal after a few minutes. Except for this start-up issue, both modes sound fine and dont bother me. Although there were instructions not to mention this, I received a post card in the mail asking me to write a five star review. It also said that if I had any issue with the product, I should e-mail them first. I told them about the whine and got this response: Hello, If you have any questions during the use of your machine, you can contact our official email at any time After you give a 5-star review, we will send you the corresponding gift card code For being shady, Ive left three stars instead of four.
