There is a glitch in hos it responds after sleep mode. The picture is distorted but cycling the power corrects the problem. Otherwise Im satisfied with the quality of the monitor and its picture. I especially like having the ability to change into portrait view for writing and editing. Good value.

Missing back cable cover and did not tell me. Other than that, good buy!

+ Colors are absolutely brilliant, especially once calibrated + Minimal backlight bleed on my unit, less than most IPS monitors in this price range + I MUCH prefer glossy panels to matte, and Im delighted to find that the matte finish on this doesnt detract from image quality + No inverse ghosting + Very very low input lag... more than fast enough for gaming + Cost when I bought it, $210 is a steal + Stand is fully adjustable... height, swivel & tilt + VESA mountable + DisplayPort, DVI, VGA connections + Comes with DisplayPort & VGA cables + Power on indicator LED can be turned off + Dark scenes are dark (black looks black not gray) + 1920x1080 resolution is the sweet spot for gaming -/+ IPS glow is present (like on all IPS monitors), but unintrusive - No HDMI port Ive used this for a variety of games including FPS. While fast motion/framerate handling cant compare to the 120Hz+ TN monitors out there, I have no complaints, and IMO the tradeoff in speed is worth it for the amazing image quality you get with an IPS panel. If you need a 120Hz panel youre not looking at IPS anyway. If youre looking for a beautiful, affordable IPS monitor that behaves admirably when gaming, look no further. This is the one.

I needed a monitor to connect to my MacBook Air for graphic design purposes, and this display really is perfect for the job. After calibrating the monitor using settings from tftcentrals review, the overall quality is pretty amazing. Its solidly built with a classy aesthetic that could easily be mistaken for an Apple brand Thunderbolt display with its aluminum-like finish, plenty of ports for a variety of devices (I use a mini-displayport to displayport adapter to connect the display to my MacBook), and the built in USB hub is pretty convenient. My only gripes are that I cannot daisy chain this display with another P2414H and that when I received my monitor, it had the remnants of a displayport cable connector still in the actual displayport. I suppose some overzealous quality control employee tried to remove a displayport cable without pushing down on the connectors release mechanism first and ended up yanking the cable out, leaving behind the displayport connector sleeve that locks in. The actual connector on the monitor is fine, but I hope Dells QC personnel are trained to properly remove cables from a monitor in the future, haha.

I got this to replace a different monitor in a dual-screen setup, and to match the other Dell Pro 24 monitor I already have. I thought the one from two years ago was impressive, but this one is even nicer. I especially like the changes made to the cabling and other appearance from the rear of the monitor. The valence panel makes a big difference, as well as moving the USB port(s). At first, I was not sure if I liked that Dell took away the power feed and mounts for a speaker bar, but it is something else that gives the monitor a nicer look. The bezel surround is about the same width as the older one, which also surprised me. These are the type of monitors that are used for multiples quite often, and the bezel is the same width all around, but I would have figured that Dell would reduce this for those of us that use multiples. Performance and overall look of the screen is outstanding. The pixels are tight and accurate, and the monitor handles movement very well. The addition of the Display Port in lieu of HDMI is highly appropriate for this type of monitor, given its intended use. Im SO GLAD to finally ditch at least one of my DVI-D cablings in favor of the Display Port. Regardless, its good to see the VGA and DVI-D interfaces are still there if needed. My only real want or suggestion for the P2414H would be nice to have an external HDMI port available (or mini-DP at the least) for a portable device. My wireless phone will port to HDMI, and it would be a great simple solution rather than keeping an HDMI --> DVI-D adapter plugged into the DVI-D port. Maybe thats incorporated into a newer version already, but I was able to keep costs down with this particular model. .

I got this because I got sick of looking at my 13 laptop monitor. It works great and has good colors. Since I have a mac, I had to get the adapter to plug any type of monitor into my laptop.. One thing I like about this monitor is that it adjusts up/down, tilt left/right/forward/back and even rotates if you are working on soemthing very tall vertically. I recommend it, no black pixels at all.

I like the three-way adjustments (height, tilt and pivot); the clear but non-glare matte screen; the three USB2 ports, and the high resolution compared to 1680x1050 monitors. It came with a VGA and an HDMI cable, and the USB2 master cable. In fact, there is nothing to complain of except that this is not a 22 monitor. It is 21.5 diagonal, meaning that instead of 11.75 display height you get 10.5. The difference is very noticeable. Still, because of its good points, I would probably buy it again.

I bought one of these monitors from Microcenter back in December and it worked pretty well for me. It was recently determined that I will be working from home indefinitely, so I decided I wanted another one of these monitors to make my setup ideal. Microcenter stopped selling this model and I really wanted to have the same one because I’m obsessive about symmetry. Thankfully this seller on Amazon still has them in stock. The monitor arrived quickly and in the official Dell box. Got it attached to the desk mount and working within minutes. Art of my job involves a lot of data entry on a huge list, so the portrait mode has worked out really well for me. I have the monitors plugged in with DVI to HDMI cables. One goes to the back of my laptop and the other goes to a USB 3.0 docking station. The setup is working perfectly so far.

The product (monitor) was fine, was delivered even earlier than expected, but it just wasnt a fit for my system. Great company to buy from and I will order again. Thanks Mike!
