> 24 hourCurrent price point at the time/date of this review: $189.99 with a $20 off coupon currently being provided by the seller at this time. The price point is reasonable and well on point with other similar type units available here on Amazon. HOWEVER, there are cheaper alternatives if you shop around, so do consider your options. Pricing for this unit I would pit at about average, however the quality is quite good all things considered. To be fair, there are also more pricier units than this as well, in fact the pricing on the market is quite volatile with significant spikes going up-down-and-all-over-town, I suspect it’s the quality of the hardware that’s the culprit. This unit falls squarely in the “average” zone in most respects.

> 24 hourI was attracted to this endoscope by the Dual cameras, Hi resolution front facing camera (5 MP), good resolution side camera (2 MP) and 9.8 feet of endoscope cabling. When I received it I was particularly impressed by the ruggedness of the borescope cable. It is rather heavy at 514 grams, and feels very rugged. The gooseneck feature of the borescope makes it possible to deform segments of the cable to squeeze by some obstacles in the path. The connector at the end of the cable is similarly rugged. It is nicely keyed to fit into the mating connector on display unit. The display unit is quite visible in even daylight conditions. The settings are easy to get to and very easy to use. Depstech provides two attachments for the end of the borescope: a hook for grabbing things, and a magnet for snagging magnetic items. I charged the unit when I received it. I have a couple of other borescopes. This one offers the highest resolution forward images at 2560x1920. When you are looking for something down a cavity over 9 feet away from you, that extra resolution really helps! The lower resolution side camera is useful when you need to look to the side of your path of motion. The focal range of the forward camera is 1.18 to 3.15 and for the side camera .79 to 2.36. These focal ranges are fine for most applications. The case offers cushioned protection for the display and borescope cable. The provided 32 GB microSD card means that you can be up and running with this borescope very quickly. The one complaint I would have is the 1.5 length of the camera portion of the snake along with the very stiff gooseneck will make it difficult or impossible to thread the camera through old cast iron drain traps. This is a useful, versatile tool for plumbers and handy persons: 5 stars!

> 24 hourThis is the 2nd kind of endoscope I’ve used and it’s still a major improvement compared to my original unit which had to be hooked up to a laptop for real-time monitoring as it had no handheld monitor or app support. This has an incredibly convenient handheld monitor with color screen display so you can visually monitor the progress of your scope as you feed it into/down wherever you’re trying to get a better view. You can take quick snapshots or record video to check it over again after. This is helpful for pinpointing issues.

> 24 hourWhen I first saw this device, I was reminded of the Snake Camera in the Splinter Cell video games to peek under doors and spy on enemies. But with a fixed focus of 1 to 4 depending on the camera you are using, objects beyond this focal distance become a blur and the captured photos have the resolution of a potato. No, this is not a spy camera. Its advertised as an endoscope/borescope intended to snake into crevices to take CLOSE UP photos of objects. For that purpose, it does exceptionally well.

> 24 hourIve used borescopes since they first came out. It was a valuable part of auto and truck repair. I can say the quality was nowhere near what this is. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking.

> 24 hourFirst thing that stood out to be about the Depstech DS550DL is the excellent quality of the screen. I find this type of device so much simpler to use than the type you have to connect to a phone or tablet. Its hassle free and just works. Second of all, the screen is an IPS panel which produces a sharp clear image and is visible at all angles. Its so much easier to see whats going on, especially when youre at an awkward angle, compared to TFT panel screens which wash out or become hard to see at angles.

> 24 hourThe DEPSTECH Dual Lens Endoscope is a great tool. The large 5 IPS LCD screen is very adequate for viewing the images from the camera. The borescope has 2 cameras, A larger forward camera straight from the end and a second camera 90 degrees from the second on to look and the walls on a hole etc. The second camera doesnt quite have the same image quality of the first camera. A 3rd camera 180 degrees from the side camera would be nice too give you a almost 360 degree view, but for the price point a 2 camera is great.

> 24 hourThis product looks great to have as a mechanic or just someone who needs a product that has a camera at the end of it. Will be able to use in the future for car projects.

> 24 hourI wish I had this endoscope years ago. I cant tell you how many times I needed to see into a space for one reason or another.. into a wall to grab a wire I am fishing through the wall... a socket dropped into a space I cant see into... and many more. Of course, the day I received it I needed to use it twice while working on the car. Im not sure what I would have done without it.
