> 3 dayFirst-off: weve used a number of different borescopes around the shop and home. Theyre extremely useful for doing non-invasive inspections (read: you dont have to destroy things to get at things). Some of our uses: drain-snaking to find sources of blocks, inside bicycle frames to inspect for damage or dropped parts, inside walls looking for signs of mold.

> 3 dayCurrent price point at the time/date of this review: $189.99 with a $20 off coupon currently being provided by the seller at this time. The price point is reasonable and well on point with other similar type units available here on Amazon. HOWEVER, there are cheaper alternatives if you shop around, so do consider your options. Pricing for this unit I would pit at about average, however the quality is quite good all things considered. To be fair, there are also more pricier units than this as well, in fact the pricing on the market is quite volatile with significant spikes going up-down-and-all-over-town, I suspect it’s the quality of the hardware that’s the culprit. This unit falls squarely in the “average” zone in most respects.

Greater than one weekDepstech makes the best endoscopic cameras at an affordable price that you will find. I bought my first one a couple of years ago and have upgraded a couple of times. They just get better. A must have for the DIY handyman.

> 3 dayThis thing is really good. Picture quality is great. I use it in an automotive repair facility. Looking in cylinders finding dropped bolts ect. Would buy this in a heart beat over the snap on my boss has. He was actually mad when he used it that he spent so much on his. Id like to see if I can get a smaller diameter camera for it but this one has fit in all the spark plug holes Ive tried so far (we do alot of engine repair and rebuild). Definitely recommend!

Greater than one weekThe camera quality is amazing on this model. The camera cable is heavy duty and comes in handy with my line of work. This is a must have scope. Way cheaper than snap-on and better quality. Bought my 1 Depstech endoscope a few years ago and got hooked.

> 3 dayI am blown away with how nice this product is. The case is heavy duty with a foam liner. The cable with camera is heavy and looks well made, break proof is what it looks like. The machine has a nice big screen with an LED light and a tf card came with it and is already installed. Anyone that works on vehicles should have one of these. Get this product, you will not regret it. Thank you so much

Greater than one weekThis is a good quality kit and comes with a nice protective storage case. The camera extension is flexible, but it is stiff. It would not work well for going around corners in a distance by pushing, as it is too stiff. You could look around corners by using the second side angle camera and light. The lack of a third camera, might mean that you will have to twist the cable to get the proper angle. The 5” screen is large and clear. The cable is heavy duty and thick. It does get a bit hard to maneuver the camera, while still having the screen stable, as you could use both hands on the snake to get it in tight areas and this ends up moving the display around if it is just sitting there without being held. The included storage card is nice to be able to take pictures or record video to look at later.

> 3 dayThis feels, looks, and performs very well. The endoscope and cable are heavy duty with a high output light. The resolution quality is excellent with a short focal length helping g you get up very close to whatever object your looking at. Its good enough to see a finger print in perfect detail. The screen size is good and being able to record what your inspecting is a good feature. Being able to inspect cylinder walls or a fuel tank...finding that broken gear while its still in its housing makes this one of those things that you dont know how you did some jobs without it.

> 3 dayI was attracted to this endoscope by the Dual cameras, Hi resolution front facing camera (5 MP), good resolution side camera (2 MP) and 9.8 feet of endoscope cabling. When I received it I was particularly impressed by the ruggedness of the borescope cable. It is rather heavy at 514 grams, and feels very rugged. The gooseneck feature of the borescope makes it possible to deform segments of the cable to squeeze by some obstacles in the path. The connector at the end of the cable is similarly rugged. It is nicely keyed to fit into the mating connector on display unit. The display unit is quite visible in even daylight conditions. The settings are easy to get to and very easy to use. Depstech provides two attachments for the end of the borescope: a hook for grabbing things, and a magnet for snagging magnetic items. I charged the unit when I received it. I have a couple of other borescopes. This one offers the highest resolution forward images at 2560x1920. When you are looking for something down a cavity over 9 feet away from you, that extra resolution really helps! The lower resolution side camera is useful when you need to look to the side of your path of motion. The focal range of the forward camera is 1.18 to 3.15 and for the side camera .79 to 2.36. These focal ranges are fine for most applications. The case offers cushioned protection for the display and borescope cable. The provided 32 GB microSD card means that you can be up and running with this borescope very quickly. The one complaint I would have is the 1.5 length of the camera portion of the snake along with the very stiff gooseneck will make it difficult or impossible to thread the camera through old cast iron drain traps. This is a useful, versatile tool for plumbers and handy persons: 5 stars!

30-03-2025Cest le meilleur outil endoscope (non professionnel) que jai utilisé. Pas tout à fait au niveau professionnel coutant cinq fois plus cher, mais tout à fait performant pour un bricoleur éclairé.
