Dove Deodorant Refills Refill Kit 0% Aluminum Sensitive Aluminum Free Deodorant, 1.13 oz

I have had issues with the stick breaking off, but Dove was great about sending replacements when they do break with a little bit of information. Otherwise, I love the deodorant and my skin feels so much better without the antipersperant.

When I bought the dove deodorant it came with a cucumber refill that worked fine. As soon as I replaced it with a sensitive skin cartridge it broke immediately. It snapped at the base and it unusable. My guess is that its a change in the formula that makes it more prone to breaking.

The refills stay in the holder during use. I don’t know why the one in the kit did not work. I still had an original Dove deodorant so I rolled it down and placed the deodorant from the kit in the old deodorant case. I did not realize the deodorant has a wet feel. I don’t like that. I ordered the one for sensitive skin which it the same one I used in the plastic solid style. The only difference is this one is aluminum free. Maybe that’s why it has a different feel after applying.

I want this to work so badly that Ive tried this product several times. By now, I have used at least 6 refills and each one has broken. Each time I give it another chance, I tell myself that I just need to be more careful.

If youve already used this item and looking for a refill, you might be better off getting it from the store. Im not sure if it was a product defect or the fact that the item was maybe out for half a day on my porch before I received it- but it definitely doesnt work as it did when purchased from the store. The replacement does not stick and keeps falling off. Very disappointed in this replacement. The only thing that I am happy about is that the product its self is made for sensitive skin and works better than the fragrance products.

The original idea was very good, but the realization is very poorly designed. The product keeps braking after a couple applications making it impossible to fix or to use ! Because there is no support to the product itself it is no surprise that it is actually breaking. It should have been a stainless-steel classic type case rond or oval (rond would probably be the best option) and the refill part being the part with the screw attached to it.

The scent is mild, but still present. My sensitive skin tolerated it. It protected well from odor. However, the deodorant snapped off from the base after only a few uses! Using the second refill, I have been careful to only apply VERTICALLY. That is applying thin stripes down the armpit. No snapping off this time.
