When this arrived, because it had no odor, I put it straight away onto my couch. I have a fairly new couch and a new puppy and didnt want there to be any accidents/damage. Today, 5 and 1/2 weeks later, I washed it for the first time. I only put a little bit of softener into the wash and when it was finished drying, OMG it is soft and I love it! It is the perfect thickness for comfort and protection from a puppys nails. Im very glad I bought this! ps: the house decor is a work in progress... no judging! LOL

Used these for curtains for our Lanai. I washed them because they sent me instructions to wash in cold and air dried. They are perfect. There was a lot of lint so I had to shake them out outside but they dry nicely after a rain.

These drop cloths from Melca are not perfect, but are definitely very nice, and would work great for a variety of crafts. I pre-washed the cloths, which felt as though it removed any waterproofing. It also shed a lot of lint in the dryer... I had to empty the filter halfway through the cycle, and it was full again at the end of the cycle. The fabric was very soft out of the dryer and only lost about 4-5 inches in size. I hung these for floor-to-ceiling curtains on my huge 10 foot window. I have a very informal living space, so these curtains fit in great. They almost have a linen look to them, and have natural flecks of cotton within that adds character. The woven threads are not perfectly even, which could be an issue for some people or projects. My walls shown in the picture are slightly off white, so this fabric is almost a light beige in color. Final thoughts are that I will get more of this fabric for sewing crafts. It is soft enough after washing that it would be a nice backing for quilts. I wouldnt upholster with it, as you can see from the photos, it is not tightly woven.

I purchased four 9x12 drop clothes and received four different sizes and four different colors. Bought them in one purchase. Very disappointed and wasted so much time.

I had problems finding a bed spread large enough to cover our king size bed like I wanted. I saw where someone had used a drop cloth and thought it was a great idea. Ordered the drop cloth and bleached it to match our comforter. Worked great and looks awesome.

I bought this to make roman shade for my slider. Slight smell that disappeared when I washed the drop cloth and no extra seams down the middle, only around edges. It softened after being washed and will be prefect for my need. I was planning on bleaching it to whiten it but love the color, it matches the grout in my tile.

Im using this drop cloth as an indoor curtain in a quasi-beach-themed room, and it hangs/drapes pretty well after a wash/dry cycle without using an iron, with almost all of the initial creasing from the packaging gone. As other reviewers have pointed out, it does give off a lot of lint on the first run through the dryer, but it came out without much shrinkage and has a surprising bit of softness to it for being canvas. The color of the cloth I received was very tan/beige and not grey at all, which works well with the tans and browns I have elsewhere in the room. Cant speak as to how light it can be bleached, as I enjoy the slightly rugged aesthetic of the natural canvas, but Im sure with dye or bleach one could get it to look practically indistinguishable from normal drapes. Very pleased with how it turned out!

Im purchasing the drop cloths to make curtains, so I wanted them seamless, the drop cloth laudered fine, is soft, but sturdy, the finished edges/seams held up in the washer and dryer, and seems to be nice and sturdy.
