> 3 dayGreat product. I bought these to level out the shotty work the home builders did when installing some of the doors in the house. Easy to install and adds just enough to not be noticable.

> 3 dayFront door was not plumb and had a gap at the bottom of about 3/8ths of an inch. Three issues: 1) the existing screws would not be long enough to secure the door into the jamb, 2) the shims were not the same width as the hinge, so there would be a rocker effect as the door opened and closed, 3) a 3/8 inch shim at the hinge side would be pretty ugly. So I will probably cut a tapered piece of wood to put on the jamb on the opposite side. Note these would probably work well for a smaller gap, however hinge screws are set into the jamb and shimming a hinge even 1/16th of an inch prevents the existing screws from setting as deep. There are 2.5/3 inch screws available specifically for this purpose.

> 3 dayI got same model number shown but holes in picture are slightly different and I had to cut to make room for one screw but simple enough. I know many people just use cardboard or something but that will break down over time and result in possible damage due to leaving the hinge loose when it does. These are plastic and wont just dissolve due to weather etc. Only thing I wish is they made a variety pack. The 4 ones generally work for exterior doors while inside is generally 3.5. I have a lot of spares now as only need like 2 of each lol. Good thing they are cheap!

> 3 dayStill didn’t fix my door issues. Finally hired a professional and they took these out and just hammered in wooden shims to fix it.

Greater than one weekI have been fighting my front door alignment since I bought this house. Adding one of these shims to the bottom hinge really helped. Adding two was too much and pushed the door out of alignment in the other direction. Replacing the top hinge screws with longer screws that extend past the door frame (#9 wood screws, 2-3 inch length) fixed the rest of the alignment problems. the front door now works perfectly. The pack came with enough shims to let me work on all of the other doors in this house that are out of alignment.
