We have several sets of French doors across the back of our home and LOVE the indoor outdoor feel when they are all open. However, we have had issues with cold breezes blowing through the doors’ center gap in the winter months when the humidity goes down. These were an EASY FIX, and can be removed just as easy in the summer months when the humidity increases and the wood doors swell tight. So thankful we found this product! Huge energy savings compared to the low product cost and effort to add or remove.

I bought a new house and very soon the front door starting sticking and would not stay shut unless it was locked. It had been installed by what is laughingly called professionals. I placed two shims behind the bottom hinge, one behind the next hinge up and none behind the top two hinges. Now the door opens easily and latches easily. Too bad the professionals dont know how to hang doors, but luckily the shims are available to home owners so we can fix the shoddy workmenship.

Builder built a metal shed on a concrete floor, one of the doors wouldnt shut without a severe shove, my wife couldnt open or close the door at all. I put three of these shims on the hinge that the gap was widest at, and it instantly fixed the problem. Now the door shuts and opens with my little finger
