BUYER BEWARE!!!! You will need to spend more. The hardware that came with it would have been good if it would have all come. Missing hardware!!! Missing 16 lag bolts and washers. Missing the additional 8 needed for the in ground stakes. Even more importantly missing the hardware to actually hang swings to the swing set. For $260 and change one would expect it all to be there, as described ( all lag screws no through bolts as described) I spent another $63.00 for the hardware that was missing. What a disappointment. The two brackets for the 4x4 legs and 4x6 beam look and seem adequate. That being said and after the added expense, it went together relatively easy (heavy work) and looks good. I used a 4x6x12 so I can add a saucer swing to the far end and 4x4x10 so it will sit higher. Took a little over 3 1/2 hours total. Suggestions. Use a carpenters square and drill the holes smaller that instructions tell you, to ensure maximum bite from screws into the wood. I don’t imagine the company with reimburse me for the missing hardware, and I’m not sending it back. Next I’d choose just the brackets and price it all together myself and would prob save close to $100.00 or more plus added cost.

This kit built one strong swing set! I used 10 legs and a 12 beam. Assembly was pretty easy with the right tools. I used treated pine. I laid out my hardware pieces on the beam to get a basic sense of spacing. Then, I corrected for uniformity. Basically, the swings are 18 apart from each other and 12 away from the brackets. Because of the lean of the legs, you could get them closer to the brackets without issue, but I liked the look of the spacing. I also left 6 inches of the beam sticking out of one side to install a climbing rope. Then, I chalked out my spacing and started drilling some pilot holes. When using my 3/8s auger bit, I drilled from the bottom, but turned it over to countersink the top. I really recommend doing that. It makes the holes clean and keeps the tops of the bolts flush with the wood. That way, if anyone gets on top, they wont have to deal with metal sticking up. After the bolts were installed, I slid on the brackets. Ive heard others complain about this, but my wood was dry enough. They made a snug fit, but it didnt require any planing or sanding - just a few taps with a rubber mallet. When assembling the legs, I added one side and rested the other side on a ladder. (I did need some help guiding the second set of legs into the brackets, but that was the only time I needed an extra set of hands.) I adjusted the legs, drilled some pilot holes and bolted it all together. Finally, I took a hand planer to the edges to round them out a little and voila! All-in-all, it probably took 3 hours or so. Its so heavy, I didnt feel the need to stake it down. I tested it out with 2 heavy adults and it easily held 500 lbs - even with the longer beam. And because of the weight, there was no risk of tipping it over. Really great product!

I cannot say enough about this kit. It resembles commerical grade sets. It was easy to assemble and was up in no time. We used 4x4x8s and 4x4x12, no problem with putting the wood into the brackets. The grandkids (I have 5) absolutely LOVE it. It is very sturdy.

Our kids are getting older and we wanted to down grade from our massive, yard stealing play structure. Our kids no longer used the climbing wall, clubhouse and slide that we had. But they still enjoy swings. So I purchased this kit. The hardware and fittings are sturdy. We purchased the wood locally on our own. The set looks great and doesnt take up an obnoxious amount of space. With that said, it wasnt as easy to put together as we thought it would be. No complaints with the finished product though.

Excellent quality. As expected. Second swing set hardware and brackets from Eastern Jungle. Purchased $75 in wood plus this kit gives a nice swing set for around $300. I wouldn’t say assembly is easy but it is like a 400 lb set that takes time drilling holes, placing 4x4, uprighting, etc. I actually pulled my upright with my truck and a strap. Very happy. Also, I went with 10’ 4x4s. It was tougher to stand up and I had to get some chain extensions but I’m happy.

This kit was an excellent value and what a great way to cut the cost of a solid swing set at least by half!! You get everything that you need except for the lumber. Really simple to put together.

My boys swing high, and my previous swing set moved so much that I was worried it would fall apart while they were swinging. This is a really sturdy, heavy-duty swing set. The wood required to build this is twice as thick as the wood that came with my previous swing set kit, and the hardware is no joke. I love the fact that adults can swing on this now. When I read the reviews, I was worried about my brackets not going on easily. But after a little sanding, they went on without any problems using a rubber mallet and wood block to hammer it in. The hardest part for me was drilling 12 holes straight through the 4x6 beam since I dont have a drill press. I had to buy an extra long drill bit and watch a youtube video to figure out how to do that! But everything else was fairly easy. Im definitely glad I upgraded with this kit.

These parts are a great option for people looking to build an easy, affordable and sturdy swing set. The steel brackets are heavy duty, it comes with quality hardware, chains, and swings. I opted to buy additional hardware to double the size and add a tire swing. It took only a few hours to assemble the set. To save money, I opted to use 4x6 and 4x4 treated pine instead of the cedar that was suggested. I have no doubt this will last throughout my kids childhoods. There are a few things worth mentioning. Because of the way the brackets are, if you use treated material you will need to chamfer the corners and possibly shave or sand down the sides a little bit. I used an electric hand planer and it worked perfectly. The instructions are lacking, but there are several YouTube videos. One thing to note is the hardware set is heavy, and wood is heavy, so this isnt a one person job. My two sons and I had no troubles apart from standing it up once assembled. That was quite a lift.

READ THIS BEFORE ASSEMBLING!!! If your 4”x6” beam does not immediately slide into the bracket, there is a trick that works like a charm. Instead of sanding or planing, first try this: with two people, stand the beam up on end, on top of the bracket it needs to slide into. Gently lift the beam and drop it onto the opening of the bracket. This will force the beam into the bracket with minimal effort compared to all other methods.

Turned out great! Had our handyman put it together and he said it was pretty easy to assemble once you get the lumber you need. Very sturdy and kids love it! Strong enough for adults to swing! Love that the chain has a coating to prevent rust and not get hot for little hands in the summer. Materials are good quality. Totally worth buying it this way...saved about $300 to do it this way vs. buying from local hardware stores.
