Used on dual swing gate, these are replacements for one failure and spare for the future. First set in use since 2017. Specs say 10mm per sec. Full travel (300mm) 30 sec. Right? One is 30, one is 55 sec. One is 70 sec. Same load, same voltage (13.5 avg solar), if this is no problem for you then good value, Im looking for faster and more consistent.

I have a 75 year old Delta drill press that Ive updated and outfitted to be highly functional. Only problem is that the table has to be manually maneuvered to adjust its height and its a PITA: it has no cranking mechanism! After some Google searching I found some using a trailer jack but most interesting solution: using something called a linear actuator! So I went for it. After some challenging backyard engineering, it works! And I added the AC/DC

Ive been using this to open and close the door to a chicken coop for about a year and a half. I have it on timer so it automatically opens 15 minutes before sunrise, and at night I just say Alexa, close the coop. It has worked reliably for the last year and a half. Its not fast. It takes 15 to 20 seconds to close the coop door. And its not very quite. But its reliable. Oh, I just realized that my Alexa comment might be misleading. This isnt a smart device. It doesnt connect to Alexa. I have it rigged up with a smart relay to make it work with Alexa.

Worth it. We have this on a timer that opens the chicken coop door in the morning and closes it at night. We can adjust the timer from our phones since it is attached to a smart plug / relay switch. Its been doing this for about a year now without any issues.

I ordered and received two of these LAM. Each was a 10 inch model and worked pretty well for about 1-3 months. I used them in a solar tracking array with one LAM tracking in Azymuth and the other in Elevation. The one i used for elevation tracking periodically stops working until it gets knocked lightly by something like a wrench or small hammer--which i discovered through trial and error. THe other LAM works perfectly. Of course since the array is on the roof...blah blah blah

Got these to replace a single one that was only rated half of theses I bought and used 2 instead of just one. So double the capacity and 2 instead of one youd think it would last, after about a month they started to get loud, 6 months later sounded like they were going to explode and at 8 months they quit within 4 days of each other. Only ran in and out 2 times a day and lifting a 1/4 of what there rated to do. DONT BUY !!!!

Do NOT use for automatic chicken coop door unless you have a sensor that stops it if a chicken is in the doorway.

I installed this on a grain bin hatch which gets opened twice a year. After 22 months it has failed. Upon opening the gear box water was discovered inside. NOT ACCEPTABLE! May be ok indoors but not outside
