> 3 dayIve been using this to open and close the door to a chicken coop for about a year and a half. I have it on timer so it automatically opens 15 minutes before sunrise, and at night I just say Alexa, close the coop. It has worked reliably for the last year and a half. Its not fast. It takes 15 to 20 seconds to close the coop door. And its not very quite. But its reliable. Oh, I just realized that my Alexa comment might be misleading. This isnt a smart device. It doesnt connect to Alexa. I have it rigged up with a smart relay to make it work with Alexa.

> 3 dayI have a 75 year old Delta drill press that Ive updated and outfitted to be highly functional. Only problem is that the table has to be manually maneuvered to adjust its height and its a PITA: it has no cranking mechanism! After some Google searching I found some using a trailer jack but most interesting solution: using something called a linear actuator! So I went for it. After some challenging backyard engineering, it works! And I added the AC/DC

> 3 dayThis product works great in my coop to allow me to open and close the coop door without going across the pasture each time. I highly recommend getting the ECO-WORTHY wireless controller and a 12-volt rechargeable battery to run it. No problems yet. :)

> 3 dayI ordered and received two of these LAM. Each was a 10 inch model and worked pretty well for about 1-3 months. I used them in a solar tracking array with one LAM tracking in Azymuth and the other in Elevation. The one i used for elevation tracking periodically stops working until it gets knocked lightly by something like a wrench or small hammer--which i discovered through trial and error. THe other LAM works perfectly. Of course since the array is on the roof...blah blah blah

> 3 dayFor the money spent, I cannot expect more. It is slower than I expected, but that is I not reading the specifications right. Motor is voltage dependent, so if it is on a vehicle 12v off and 14,4v running is a big difference.

> 3 dayUsing this to open a chain link gat that closes my chicken coop. It works well and has a lot of force. However, at least twice the motor has failed to rotate, it seems its bound up in the gearbox. I light tap on the motor and it starts turning, but it defeats the purpose if I have to go out there to check it every night.

> 3 dayPretty straight-forward unit. 12 VDC. Internal limit switches. 18 travel. Well made. Soldered leads. I used it to automate the opening and closing of my chicken coop door.

> 3 dayThis unit is on my solar panels. They weigh 121lbs. Unit somehow ran past upper limit switch and crashed the carrier into the mount. No way to adjust and passed 30 day warranty. So Im screwed. Ill try to find something thats US made.
