> 3 dayDescent camera for the price. They are quick and easy to setup if your fairly tech savy. They operate on poe (power over ethernet) but they come with the option of using an injector for power, which is pointless if your running cat 5/6 ethernet then just use poe (a powered switch). I only wish the imaging sensors were larger, they are 1/1.8, which is about 1/2 an inch (0.555in). Youll probably have to tweak the settings for a while at night to get the best performance in your night time lighting conditions as they vary per location. Day time is pretty easy as the sun offers plenty of light to fill the imaging sensor. Empiretech is good about providing firmware updates if you contact him for it.

> 3 dayI received the camera in working order. Works as expected and bought it with the amcrest matching wall mount. Fun project to get it all hooked up. Picture is excellent. Camera worked first time it was connected without issue. Had some trouble while mounting it due to a set screw that was a bit loose in the threads and got jammed without even taking it out. I was able to reach Andy and they are working to get me a new piece. I appreciate them reaching out to me on that and offering to take care of it. Despite the issue, they are fixing it so its still worth a 5 star to me.

> 3 dayPurchased this camera to keep an eye on the front of my house, and was able to cover enough to need only 1 when I thought I would have to have 2 cameras. Surprised at the clarity and great detail, day and night. Note the detail in the photo I posted, this is in overcast light at a distance of about 30 feet. Easy operation using the included software, have alerts setup so I know when friends park out front and stop bye, and saves recordings so I can catch my neighbors dogs in the yard. Great purchase at the right price.

> 3 dayNot only is this a great camera and a value item but, the support from EmpireTech is more than outstanding! All the latest upgrades to the firmware are supplied almost like they have factory direct connection. I will shop here first for my security camera needs.

> 3 dayOk, this camera is amazing! Even at night!!! Before buying this camera I tried Lorex, Arlo, Ring, and even the new fancy Nest IQ. No comparison to this camera. The daytime video is amazing but thats easy with most 4mp/2k cameras. I wanted good night time ‘color’ footage and this was the only camera that delivered. Also, the seller- Andy from EmpireTech is extremely knowledgeable, super responsive even after the sale. He just provided me with some technical support! Now thats service! So I’m buying another camera but in black.

> 3 day1 mistake in the ad (it is not a wireless device), but they contacted me to clear it up. Spent a great deal of time on the phone with Jeff from Empire Tech, after I had returned the camera. He was *extraordinarily* helpful. I learned more in that conversation than I have in a several weeks of research. Dont think Ive ever had that level of service!! (and Ive been around a while lol) Andy and Jeff - thank you both! You have a lifelong customer! Jim PS Andy, give Jeff a raise!

> 3 dayI had become so accustomed to home security cameras having IR capabilities, I just assumed they all did. Well, they dont. This camera is just a camera. The camera itself gives a great picture, but the way it mounts means you pretty much have to keep adjusting it until it points exactly where you want it. I had mine up where a small ladder allowed me to reach it, but had it been up higher or harder to access, this would have been a real chore to install. The direction it is facing is not very obvious looking at the camera itself. The bullet cameras are easier to tell where it is pointing just by looking at the camera itself. The low light picture quality is very, very good. If you need a camera for a well-lit area, this is a good camera. I would not use it for extremely low light areas, but for that, you would need an IR camera, anyway. This is a true POE camera. It is very small for a camera of this quality. Its picture is very, very good. Setting it up for use with a computer is a bit of a pain, but the forum the seller has set up gets you fairly fast and (while not overly polite) useable answers. If you are not comfortable working with your computers ethernet settings, then you might want to use this with a commercial/canned NVR or have it installed by someone else. My only complaint is aiming this camera. The camera itself is shaped like an eyeball (hence its name), and pretty much is aimed in a manner similar to an eyeball, using a set screw and wearpad/bumpers to keep the eyeball in place once aimed. I wrapped the RJ45 connector in electrical tape, because the water-proof (?) connector that comes with the unit didnt feel all that tight even after tightening the threads to the end stop.
