This is a decent, basic heat lamp. The clamp is pretty strong. Somewhat harder to assemble than it ideally should be though. The bulb I installed doesnt sit in the center of this lamp. Its slightly skewed. Not sure if its an issue with the bulb or the lamp. Better heat lamps have a cage/grille that keeps the bulbs from touching other things in case the lamp falls. This doesnt have a cage. Compatibility: E26 base. Works with R- or BR-shape bulbs. There are three models of this lamp: 5.5, 8.5, 10. These correspond to the max. widths of the bulbs. The page also lists maximum wattages for each model. The lamp can be plugged into standard US wall sockets. The writing on the lamp is misleading: it says 250 V, but that just means it works with up to 250 V. 120 V sockets are fine.

Its a light, and it works, but its not quite tall enough metal shroud to fit all bulbs. In hindsight, I would have bought a little taller light.

I love how easy and simple it was to put together it took me less than 3 mins. My baby was happy and full of light in mins I was so happy. My tortoise lamp went out and he went without for 3 days so it was very important it got here fast and put together fast and I got just that.

The lamp worked well for my turtle. The right bulb was used and everything. Everything was fine and then while I was sleeping the bulb exploded. I hurried up since it exploded near the turtle and cleaned the tank cause of all the bits of glass. I got a new bulb and it won’t even turn on anymore. I plugged in I to different outlets and still nothing. Loosened and tightened the bulb and nothing works. Waste of money don’t buy

Great size

Great lamp. The clamp was missing a few pieces when it arrived but I have just been using it on top of a screen lid so hasnt been to big of a problem.
