> 3 dayBought 5 of these, 1 had a problem 2 months after purchase and overheated, smoke started coming out the top. Luckily I caught it before I left for work. The others seem to be working as expected, perhaps a quality control issue, but the return window has closed and Im unable to send the defective one back.

> 3 dayNote it does not come with a bulb, but it is a great lamp, we have the red heat on all the time on a fader version to keep an ambient temperature, and we have this on/off one with the day bulb so the Ball Python can have a good light cycle and basking spot during the day. Ive been pleased with it. It is hard to figure out where to clamp the bulb so it will shine down into the tank, but you can work it.

> 3 dayIve ordered a few of these from Flukers at this point and they all work great. Theyre a great value and even connected to a dimmer switch I havent had a single one fail yet using them for ceramic heat emitters. Highly recommend and theyre my go-to whenever we get a new reptile that needs heat.

> 3 dayOur classroom alligator lizard got an aquarium tank for her with cover, but didnt think that the snap on light could not be put on side of tank unless cover was off... so we just place it next to her tank as it hd to have a separate box to affix it to shine on her. Perfect if you plan to leave the top uncovered.

Greater than one weekWorks the same or better then the dimmer option. I see people struggle with installing but it was super easy, if not just watch youtube video before buying to see if you can do it yourself.
