These are not for mountain climbing - theyre for making your everyday carry easier. I bought these for an extended trip, and my wife and I put them to good use - clipped to a backpack or sling bag or purse, we were able to hang keys, hats, water bottles, what have you on the spur of the moment while we were out and about. Its all about flexibility and not being caught unprepared for eventualities - carry these in a bag pocket, and then when you need them, clip them on and go! I felt that these carabiners were very sturdy and the clips were just the right tension to be easily clipped but also reliable enough not to slip off.

These came as advertised, they are lightweight and durable.
