This umbrella is a good compact size for travel. Nice design. Not sturdy in wind! The umbrella flipped inside out several times on my during a recent trip to New Orleans. Be aware it can flip on you in windy situations.

This umbrella is difficult for me to extend all the way and lock in place. When I first tried I couldn’t get it fully extended and locked in place at all. I had to get my son to do it. His opening and closing it several times has helped a bit. By holding the upper shaft in my left hand, being careful not to press the button, while pulling as hard as I can with my right arm, I am now just able to get it fully extended and hear it lock in place with a little click. I am hoping this will become easier with use. This is a shame because otherwise it is the perfect size and weight, seems sturdy with tough fabric that is lined. But the trouble I have opening it means I can’t really recommend it.

It malfunctioned right out of the package. It would not open completely or stay open. I missed my return window by 1 day ! It is a poorly constructed product . dont waste your money!

The umbrella holds up in moderate wind (though you may have to move it in the direction of a gust of wind so it doesnt get roughed up too much). The canopy gives good coverage for a 56, 130lb adult. Two people that size could be mostly covered under it for a short distance in light rain. It is a tad heavier than the one it replaces but at the same time more compact. It takes up less space in my small casual bag which is what I wanted. The handle is a bit loose (I have to keep screwing it tighter) and the plastic used for it feels flimsy. The rest of the umbrella feels sturdy and well made.

Convenient, compact, not heavy, fits in almost every bag. In strong winds, it will break, but in normal rain and not a hurricane, it protects perfectly. Thanks!

The umbrella opens and closes as expected. However, I plan on using this as a daily sun umbrella as I will be walking for hours every day during the summer in Asia and needed a light weight umbrella to block the sun. The photo of the item shows the black layer inside for UV protection, but the actual product does not have the black protector inside, so I think itll be a major decrease in protection and it will feel much hotter underneath. It also is very hard to close and fold up neatly, so its in actuality much more bulky in my purse. However, this is as expected based on my experience. Anyways, disappointed due to inaccurate photo. I chose the 34 inch light green version.
