Garmin Forerunner 920XT Replacement Bands (Blue/Black)

This was a perfect fit and SO easy to replace.

Excellent watch strap but pins very bad (these broken)

This band is easy to install, and replaces the stock band exactly. I ordered one directly from Garmin also and they are exactly the same kit. This is the second time I’ve had to replace my band so obviously there is an issue with the bands. However it’s cheaper to replace the band every year than to buy a new garmin.

The band comes with the tools needed to detach and attach the new band to the 920XT. However it is difficult to do and the single picture directions are not helpful. Once the new band is on, it fits great.

Came quickly exactly as described. The band was easily replaced and fits excellent.

I really like my Garmin 920XT and have only taken it off to charge it and morning weigh-ins over the couple of years I owned it. When the band broke I was bummed. But this kit did exactly what it is designed to do. The screws and shafts that attach the band to the watch face are tiny and it took a bit of time to get things lined up and attached properly, but once done, you couldnt have told the difference from the original band. Dont do what I did, though, and put the bands on the opposite from the original. I left things that way because those tiny components got the better of me. Only took a week to get used to putting it back on upside down from how I did previously. :-/

I tried one of the inexpensive, non-Garmin bands. At first it seemed good but quickly turned out to not be useable. The free end of the strap kept falling out of the retainer and flapping around - especially while I swam - which was annoying. Then the clip on the buckle started to fall through the buckle and the band would open which would allow the watch to fall off - not good in a deep water swim. I purchased this Garmin band and am happy to have the basic functionality and security it provides.

Overall good value but understand the limitations. This Garmin replacement band kit is what you need if the strap or clasp mechanism breaks on your 920XT sport watch. You wont have to do a MacGyver job on reassembling it. The kit comes with the necessary tools and you can replace the bands in 5 minutes. Just be aware that if you wear the watch often (since it tracks sleep, steps and other activity, its fair to assume you do) and are even moderately active--I mostly swim and cycle wearing my 920XT--the replacement bands will only last around one year. I am buying my second replacement kit, just shy of a year after I bought the first one. Garmin should improve the durability of the band material. Otherwise, its a good product and I highly recommend the watch itself.

I originally thought that the new band broke after a month and a half. But I now realize it was the old half I left on that broke not the new band.

Bought this to replace the original band I broke after about 8 months of use. Wore it off and on, casually and on long runs. A few months ago, I went to sleep with it on, loosely. Pushing my arm under the pillow, half awake, it tore. Strangely enough, this replacement also tore around the same spot after leaving it on when heading to bed. Hoping to find a velcro band or something a little more durable.
