Garmin Forerunner 920XT Replacement Bands (Blue/Black)

I tried one of the inexpensive, non-Garmin bands. At first it seemed good but quickly turned out to not be useable. The free end of the strap kept falling out of the retainer and flapping around - especially while I swam - which was annoying. Then the clip on the buckle started to fall through the buckle and the band would open which would allow the watch to fall off - not good in a deep water swim. I purchased this Garmin band and am happy to have the basic functionality and security it provides.

NEW REVIEW: Reordered same replacement band (yes blue). No complaints... just a perfect replacement!!! OLD REVIEW: Love the Blue!!! My 920XT is the black all-around... the band lasted just about 1 year and it finally broke... too much training I guess. Anyhow, I ordered the Blue band... I so love the color of this band... very easy to replace on the 920XT.

I really abuse this watch. I run and swim every day. I have owned the watch for over 5 years and have gone thru 4 watch bands. They work I just need to have one extra when one fails.

I love that I dont have to replace my entire watch since the band broke , but this is the 3rd time Ive had to replace the band (and I only wear this watch maybe 3 days out of the week when I am doing long runs.). The original and replacement bands just dont hold up very well, but since I like the garmin watch overall, Ill probably just keep replacing it when it breaks.

I made a mistake of purchasing a cheap, off brand replacement strap. For the 920XTm the original strap is definitely the best. Dont cheap out, just get the OEM replacement (this one).

Easy to replace and looks great

I like that this is an exact match. It looks great and is comfortable regardless of the size of your wrist. What I dont like is that they break easily. My wife and I have the 920XT. Both of us have had to replace the band at least 3 times each. We love the watch but the bands are not built to last.

Im writing this review because I came back to order another one. I last replaced it in April 2020. This band is made to look cool, but is inherently very weak in design, with segments that are very thin and easily broken. Ive had a Garmin 920 XT for several years now, and love the watch! However, Ive had to replace the band due to breakage no less than once a year. Im retired, do no high-level training, and primarily use it for tracking swimming and walking. It doesnt get heavily stressed. These bands do not deserve to be used for a high quality fitness watch.

This is an exact match to the stock band for a Garmin 920XT However, it seem like it only lasts about a year. (I replaced my stock band at about 10 months after purchase with this, that band started breaking at about 10 months) I will probability buy this same band again next year when it breaks.... i just wish it wasnt a consumable item.
