> 3 dayItem works very well with Garmin network cable. One must be careful to ensure the wire colors are in the correct order when inserting into the RJ45 connector. Also, Garmin network cables are configured for crossover, so one end is different than the other. Save old connector and use as model for making the new connector.

> 3 dayI had to cut the original one to be able to inset the cable in the pipes. This is a perfect replacement.

> 3 dayIf youre handy with an RJ45 crimp tool, please buy these to use your own ethernet cable on your boat instead of Garmins 20x over priced packaged cables. I realize even at the cost of these, for what amounts to a couple plastic boots, its certainly making Garmin a reasonable profit, but at least youre saving something.

> 3 dayThese are high quality OEM garmin connectors. They are designed for shielded cable. Hindsight I think I’d just order the Garmin cable but I was concerned with passing the cable through my deck. FYI you do not need a crossover cable to connect a Echomap 106SV directly to a Echomap plus 73CV. Standard T586B works fine.

> 3 dayYou will need an ethernet cable crimping tool for this. Its fairly tricky to get all the wires aligned and into the correct slots.
